Too many patches enabled?
Decided to play with my IDE-EXI today so I put some games on a hard drive and connected everything up. I see the directory listing in Swiss but whenever I try to launch a game I just get a message that says "Too many patches enabled memory limit reached". Anyone any ideas? As far as I am a...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I have a PAL gamecube, Qoob Pro modchip, Japanese GBA player and Broadband adapter. I'm Launching the DOL using Swiss (r326) directly from the Qoob pro I'm using component video cables. On the regular version (gbi.dol) I get a click in my speakers usually accompanied by a line of interference cuttin...

Re: Ide-exi vs Wiikey Fusion
Thank you. If I'm reading the Wiki correctly I cannot connect a Wiikey fusion and the original Gamecube DVD drive at once, is that right?

Ide-exi vs Wiikey Fusion
Hi, I was just wondering which of these two solutions people thought was better (assuming that you could obtain either one). I don't see the IDE-Exi in the table here http://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.ph ... ng_Backups - Does it run better than the SDGecko or about the same? Thanks.

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
emu_kidid please note, the holding down Y button does not cure the LAN adapter problem, if my LAN adapter is hooked up I still have to remove the Ethernet cable otherwise Swiss crashes instantly.

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
Picture of my Qoob settings page is no problem:- http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7425/8720836599_4c3ed28a0f.jpg However the chip was fitted for my by a professional fitter. I will see if I have the screwdrivers to open the console and get back to you as it is pretty late here now. I can tell you I was...

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
Wow thanks emu_kidid, holding down the Y button and starting Swiss that way has cured my problems. Before I was holding down B to go to the menu after the Qoob had initialized and read the disk I believe. I got Chibi Robo and Donkey Konga to start just fine from original retail disc and Fire Emblem ...

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
It's worth a try, but when you download a zip file that includes crc checking so any transmission errors should have shown up then.

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
Not enabling any cheats no. I got a warning that the file was fragmented before but I reformatted the card and that went away. I also tried booting Swiss 0.2 from 0.3 and that just caused a crash :( I have a reasonably large collection of Gamecube disks, is there a disk based game that definitely sh...

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
Hi emu_kidid thanks for taking the time to reply. I don't have a USB Gecko, isn't that for Wii not Gamecube? I have a SD Gecko. "Enable USB Gecko Debug via Slot B" is set to "No" in the options menu. "Run something to pump data out over the interface" sorry I'm not sure...

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
So, a little further along without the BBA adaptor connected but still having issues. I've loaded two games onto my SD card in my SD Gecko, both were on the compatibility list. The games are Fire Emblem - Path of Radiance (USA) and Bust-A-Move 3000 (USA). I've also tried the game Chibi Robo (USA) di...

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
That wouldn't work because it crashes almost instantly... oh wait sorry yeah I see what you mean that would be worth a try.
I've discovered something significant. If I disconnect the LAN cable from my Gamecube LAN adapter, the crash does not occur. Could it be an IP address conflict or something?

Re: Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
If I boot without the Gecko it crashes instantly, if I have the Gecko in it goes to the Swiss menu for a second or two then crashes, exact same crash / same numbers.

Swiss 0.3 and Qoob pro problem
Has anyone been able to get Swiss 0.3 to work with a Qoob pro modchip? Here's what I did:- 1. Flash Swiss 0.3-r174 dol (swiss-compressed.dol) to the Qoob's internal memory. 2. Disconnect USB cable, insert SDGecko with SD card. 3 . Power up Gamecube, select swiss-compressed from applications menu. 3....

Re: IDE-EXI Gerbers, Design Files, BOM, PDF and Program File
I just found out about this today, I'd very much like to get one of these adapters to play with, I'm incompetent when it comes to soldering so I'd have to buy one, if any are available please let me know!
