Hello again friends :)
Long time no see. I am so glad this forum still exists - and thank you so much for not removing my account. I has been away for like... I dunno! But a few years for good as I suppose. I was about to move my Wii to my son's room but we both decided that Wii and Switch will stay in the living room and...

Re: [How to] Boot swiss from memory card (GameCube)
Hello guys and sorry to someone for this post as probably some of you will find it rude, but... come on! Check out this homebrew. It can do things Nintendo doesn't allow, like move files between an MC and an SD gecko. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GCMM First of all, did I ever ask about such stuff?...

Re: [How to] Boot swiss from memory card (GameCube)
Yes, I tried running SWISS from SWISS already but wanted to try different method this time.
Even just for fun, I am curious how to use this memory card way anyway.

Re: [How to] Boot swiss from memory card (GameCube)
alzen, what is your setup, what are you trying to achieve. There's probably more up to date methods you can use so it's best to know what the current setup is. Hi emu. My setup is very basic, regular PAL Cube chipped with Xeno. What do I want to do? Update my SWISS version but I would prefer to swi...

Re: [How to] Boot swiss from memory card (GameCube)
Hello, sorry to resurrect probably a dead topic but how you all forgive me :) I was just about to update my SWISS version and this topic came to my mind. Still, I have some questions about the whole procedure. All you need to do is download this dol file and install it to your memory card (use 107 b...

Hedgewars port for GC/Wii - is there any chance?
Hello, as I'm very interested in Hedgewars project I just want to show GC/Wii community that some people already thought about porting it to Wii, there is a forum topic(I know it's old): http://www.hedgewars.org/node/1937 Someone also made some research according to porting possibilities and hardwar...

Are there any serious SMS hacks in progress?
After searching on YT I saw a few SMS hack videos but I'm confused - are there any serious projects among them? I assume that people just show what they can hack in SMS but is it just for fun or can we expect something big like Star Road for M64?

DOSBox Wii thread - problems and solutions
Hello, I would like to start this topic as I have several problems with dosbox, but also solved a few so maybe I will be able to help some of you as well :). My questions: 1. How to create seperate installations? As I read --> HERE <-- it's possible to do it by creating new directory with boot.dol f...

Mario Sunshine in 576i on Wii?
Hello, I know SWISS allows me to force GC PAL games into 576i, I also know that there is SWISS released for Wii. Does this version allow me to plan GC games in 576i while games are on the USB stick(or from GC disc but I prefer to keep it in the box, nice and clean - still if there is not possible to...

USB Loader GX 3.0 - settings on SD card instead of USB disk?
As in subject, I have only one problem with this loader - it's stubborn as a donkey and even after fresh install if creates it's own directories on USB hard drive instead using default ones copied with loader .dol and other files, on SD card? When USD hard drive was disconnected it was searching fir...

Re: Goals for Swiss 0.4
@Streetwalker: Not really as the main attitude of Nintendon't for me is the possibility to use HID controllers - that's why I want to boot SWISS - to be able to run GC/Wii homebrew and control it with HID controller instead of GC one. I really like GC controllers - best I've ever used; but in HID co...

Re: Goals for Swiss 0.4
Nice! Would be nice to have bootable SWISS iso that runs on nintendon't - just to run homebrew apps with HID controller.
Hope you'll make it
.
btw. does it read SD card from the main Wii's SD card slot?

Re: Goals for Swiss 0.4
Is there any chance that Wii's version of SWISS will allow HID gamepads support the way NINTENDONT does?
As NINTENDONT is open source it should be possible.

Thank you Ralf, will give it a go.
But still, I wouldn't be able to do much without extracting .bin files and getting to music in EA format, am I right?

Biohazard File Archive Tool - any alternatives?
Hello, I wanted to try to change songs for NFS:MW and after using Gamecube ISO Tool(http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/gcit.html) I got a few .bin files I needed to extract. After some searching I've found program called BioHazard File Archive Tool(http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1019/) that seem...

NTFS is supported by some of them, and in that case you do not have to split files.

Re: Unmounting WBFS pendrive on Linux 3.13, how?
Hey there, problem solved. Best way out is to use regular FAT32 formated pendrive, create "WBFS" directory and put .wbfs files there(you will need to split bigger games into more than 1 file, didn't do it but Wii Backup Fusion or sth like that for Linux can do that, probably some other programs too)...

Re: Unmounting WBFS pendrive on Linux 3.13, how?
Not at all mega, Linux has some great WBFS managers. Only problem that I have is that I would like to unmount wbfs drive, and maybe it's not even needed. I'm just worried about my pendrive and I would prefer to eject it the right way. Still, I will try to find out is it needed or not, and if not - w...

Re: Unmounting WBFS pendrive on Linux 3.13, how?
I know that we can make FAT32 partitions replacing WBFS partitions(there is a script for it), but I must fund some time is there any way to make such a partition and avoid the way to make WBFS first and tune WBFS to FAT32 later. Still, if we have FAT32 umounting shouldn't be the problem anymore. Her...

Unmounting WBFS pendrive on Linux 3.13, how?
I cannot get it out of my head. I'm using Linux, currently Ubuntu 14.04. We have WBFS managers for Linux as well but as the system doesn't recognize WBFS partiions in default configuration I cannot unmount the pendrive after copying games to WBFS drive. And I always unmounts pendrive after moving da...

Re: Saitek Gamma GC gamepad and Wii (not working?)
Got cheap GC gamepad cable extender from China just to test it. Did it as I thought that original gamepads had a little longer "plug" that goes into gamepad socket. I just hoped that about 1£ cable extender will have longer "plug" - and it did, about 2mm longer than Saitek Gamma did. Still, it's not...

Re: Any sense going for Wiikey GC while having Wii?
I agree. I mean, I've found WiiKey for let's say 12£, used one. But didn't want to do it. I'm rather saving money, and while I have Wii it's really pointless.Gixxxer wrote:i dont even understand the point of doing that??!!

Any sense going for Wiikey GC while having Wii?
Hello, I just done a quick price check, I know in UK I can buy Wiikey Fusion for 35 pounds. Let's say I can find it cheaper also, I have one black unmoded Cube. But I also have softmoded Wii - is there any sense for investing into WiiKey Fusion and putting it into Cube? Like, does it have better com...
