Re: How to deal with "fragmented" files?
A couple of tips... If you need to format an SD/SDHC card, use the SD Formatter program . That creates a partition with the correct alignment. If you've copied GC images to your card and some files are fragmented, you could try running a disk defragmenter. But that's not good because it causes wear-...

Option to force 240p video output?
Hi, Would it be feasible to add an option to force 240p video output to Swiss? By 240p I mean non-interlaced 15kHz, as was output by older consoles like the NES, Super NES, Genesis, N64, PlayStation 1 etc. That would be particularly useful for retro game titles like Sonic Collection, Midway Arcade T...

SD card benchmarking
Hi, When loading games from SD card, in what size chunks does Swiss read the data? I was thinking that the latency of each read request might vary for different makes of SD card. (By latency I mean the amount of time between when Swiss sends a command to read data, and when data starts being returne...

Re: Swiss and SDXC cards
I've been using a 64GB SDXC card with Swiss 0.3 and it seems to work okay. After re-formatting the card to FAT32, Swiss does seem to be compatible with it. SDXC cards come formatted with an exFAT partition from the factory. Swiss hangs when trying to read the directory of an exFAT partition. Until e...

Problem dumping a disc with Swiss and some suggestions
Hi, I'm using a GameCube and have been using Swiss to dump my GC discs. I've thought of some suggestions for future improvements... One disc is quite scratched (Medal of Honor Rising Sun disc 1 if it matters). I dumped it five times using Swiss and each time the MD5 checksum differed. None of the ch...

Re: Starting Swiss (or other DOL) using Action Replay codes?
Figuring out what PPC code corresponds to the AR codes seems to be harder than I thought it would be... :? I entered the AR codes into GCNCrypt and got this. Original (master?) codes: 7YPR-RKZZ-MH6W5 D26A-PE4J-1XX2W ZJHY-B1ZH-6P00G Those decrypt to 0F420000 88000000 04001DD8 4BFFFB50 RAM write, 32-b...

Re: Starting Swiss (or other DOL) using Action Replay codes?
I've looked into this some more... The GameCube AR code format is explained at http://doc.kodewerx.org/hacking_gcn.html . There's also a link there to GCNCrypt which is used to encrypt/decrypt AR codes. I looked at the SDPATCH.EXE source. SDPATCH writes boot-loader code to sector 0 (offset 0x40 byte...

Starting Swiss (or other DOL) using Action Replay codes?
Hi, I've read about how to run SDLoad using an older Action Replay which allows entry of new codes. Is it possible (or would it in theory be possible) to set up an SD card so that a different program (e.g. Swiss) gets loaded directly via the AR codes? By changing the PPC bootstrap code corresponding...
