How do I program an Altera CPLD to make my own USB Gecko??
Hello,
I'm still in possession of a working USB Gecko, but I've been wondering what tools were used to program its Altera micro controller.
Just stumbled over this nice board and I'm eager building a USB of it!
Can I use an Arduino Uno for this?

Re: Controller ports not working
No there isn't, the controller ports are mounted right onto the mainboard in the Wii. Yep, just seen that by opening it. That's sad. But hey, there're fitting ones around the web. This one looks very decent to me . 12 lanes and 13mm wide :) EDIT: Gonna try if i can find out which lane is broken to ...

Re: Controller ports not working
It looks like the Led is showing signs of wear.. Im not sure exactly if that also links into the controller data line.. but if you see no other signs of wear/broken traces it would be a good place to start. Btw Badassconsoles.com sells working controller boards for a buck. it may take a couple of w...

The Wind Waker (HD) hacking documentary
Hello, I've been working on an extensive hacking documentary for The Legend Of Zelda The Wind Waker (GCN and HD versions)! Right now it contains information about object/actor swaps: replacing all objects of a kind (ex: every post box is replaced by Ganondorf) replace specific object(s) of a specifi...

Yes, also removed it. Here're some pics:

Re: Controller ports not working
I have mingled a little bit more with it and bent the ribbon (in the case it has an inner interruption of connection). I was right with this assumption. Got control working for a few seconds. Next time I restarted the cube it gives me an odd error message: 20160123_151413.jpg It says that the calend...

Re: Controller ports not working
Did it. The front blend is definitely the faulty component. (replacing the silvern cube's blend with the purple ones did the trick. Putting the silvern one's into the purple cube gave me the same error over there) The ribbon is also fine. Every lane conducts. It can't be the resistor because the LED...

Controller ports not working
Hi, I have got another GameCube and the controller ports do not work. But my controller is definitely fine since it works on my other GameCube. I'd also like to mention that it requires some force to plug in the controller... I have opened it to have a look if I can figure out anything. But the ribb...

Cannot compile Gecko dotNET (Visual Studio 2013)
Hi, I'd like to make a little modification to Gecko dotNET (having 2048 search results per page instead of 256). But the compilation fails with following error message: Error 1 Could not load referenced assembly "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\System.Data.dll". Caught a BadI...

Re: COLI Filetype Breakdown (F-Zero GX)
this is all nice :) I've been testing out a lot of things on the console too, while the coli-data were loaded into RAM. As discussed with StarkNebula on Twitter before, I have figured out a few things about positioning and scaling 3D objects. But there are still a few oddities about this: http://gam...

i tried that long time ago by enabling the machine camera that is fixed on the vehicle. but no success so far. I don't know if replay mode cameras can be enabled in race modes. At least it could be possible in replay mode if we find the addresses of the machine's camera's coordinates, i think.

What exactly do you mean with "culling"? The objects disappearing outside of the 4/3 area? I have once found an address for wind waker that modified the render radius of the objects. it solved the problem for that game. but I don't remember it and found it by destiny (messing around with m...
