ok...with no DVD drive: 1. solder in the port replacement board 2. connect pin 29 switch to port replacement board 3. connect lid switch to port replacement board option 3 you could also just solder jumper the two pads together, but you will never be able to mimic the lid opening and closing.... Just got it today. I have few questions about hook-up. I have removed the old drive connector, but left the pins sticking out from the motherboard. Is that ok? (drop in the mega board and solder from the top) Also, I wont use the dvd drive, only wkf w/sd card. I'm a bit confused about the power line...
