Re: 3D Printables for Gamecube
May I make a suggestion? I think maybe you should put one more hole for Composite Video and Label it 'V' or 'C.' This just makes more sense to me as your design requires the removal of the AV Multi Out Port as well. Thank you very much for your work on this and for sharing it with us. It was always ...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Bentomo; you're much better off wiring directly to the AVE-DOL chip instead of the vias.

Re: Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
Adding an optical drive is possible, but it will make the unit much thicker as a result. As for doing a commission, it would have to be worth my time to be honest with you. For a unit exactly like this one, it cost about $400 in parts to make. Particularly due to the use of a component video cable ...

Re: Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
How much would it cost to commission this?, and how much would the price hike up to add a disc drive (assuming it's possible). Re: Introducing, the Creamsicle Cube!
It took a couple weeks, but most of that was waiting for the parts to come in. I want to say it took about 36 hours in total.

Re: Introducing, the Creamsicle Cube!
Tell me about it. I almost had it with this one too. There was space, but I had to use a thicker heat sink instead. Oh and thank you.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Given the current asking price for the original cables, I'm getting kind of anxious for a commercially available version of this. Hopefully the wait will be over soon.

Re: Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
The one I've made is fairly large mostly because it was made from the original IC that I got from Mega. I made it for a friend to use with his cube. I'm looking into the GCvideo now. Color me a bit lazy, but I don't want to solder everything onto the board. It would be nice if I could just buy an ex...

Re: Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
Yea, I've heard that those things are on the way too. I'm looking forward to all those things coming. It's gonna be a lot of fun to say the least. I thought you managed to buy one pre-made somewhere. LOL If I had access to an etching machine, I could probably get the board smaller, but I've no such ...

Re: Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
It's funny, I got so wrapped up in finishing this one up, that I forgot to take pictures of the inside. LOL. I'll take pictures of the inside if I ever open it up again. Just curious, where did you get your GCvideo from? If I can get one pre-made mounted on a board, I'll probably use that instead. I...

Thanks again LOL. I'm planning on making at least one more with this mold. I just need to acquire another d terminal cable first.

Re: Introducing, the Creamsicle Cube!
Thank you. I just wish I culd have fit the battery in like I planned. I ended up having to prioritize better cooling instead.

Introducing, the Pixie Cube!
Hey guys, I wanted to take the time to show off my latest portable Gamecube the Pixie Cube. It's design is inspired by Ashen's past designs with a little of my own flare added here and there. I had a great time building this one, as it was my first foray into vacuum forming and I am very happy with ...

Introducing, the Creamsicle Cube!
Hey guys, Here's another portable that I finished up a couple months or so ago. I call it the Creamsicle Cube. The case was made by Gman. I bought it from him since I was interested in making a small portable Gamecube and I hadn't yet received my vacuum former to make my own. Well here it is folks a...

Re: Huge Price Jump in Gamecube Component Cables
Exactly Andre, they're not rare at all. I own three originals and I've built two of them in the past one of them from the original chip and the other from a clone I made (credit to unseen). I bring this topic up because I feel that to ask $240 for them is absurd. Perhaps you're right though, maybe p...

Huge Price Jump in Gamecube Component Cables
So, while casually browsing ebay today, I noticed that now the D-Terminal and Component cables listed on there are over $240. This is up nearly $100 from what they were going for a couple months ago. The only one under that is an auction at $147 and that is sure to go up as the auction's end nears. ...

Acquiring parts for building a Component cable PCB
Here's the deal, I have in my possession a MXB012355 CMPV-DOL ic and I want to build a component board for the Gamecube with it. The issue I'm having at the moment is that I cannot find all of the parts required to build it. Can anyone point me to a place that may have the parts? I've already tried ...

Redmangus' Wii U Laptop (First in the World)
Hey Guys, I'm making this thread to outline my work on my Wii U Laptop. I know this is the Gamecube forum, but it's much more active than the Wii U forum so I figured I'd post it here. This is a completed project, but I figured I should still make a work log so that the info is available to everyone...
