Re: Swiss Nightly Build

Your reasoning is flawed, here is why: 1-The Gamecube is connected to the TV through an RGB scart connector (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCART) and yes there are actually all the wires needed, not just composite+audio. 2-The majority of my games are NTSC-U*, I have a minority of PAL games and only ...

Unfortunately sometime the disappearing stuttering is replaced by FMV frames flashing/tearing. :)

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

Hi, I have been testing more games. I don't want to open several treads so I am going to ask here: 1-PAL forced to NTSC I have a PAL TV that can do both 50 and 60Hz and I was experimenting with RE1 PAL. When I forced it to NTSC, the image on the TV went out of sync and started rolling vertically. Wh...

Re: CleanRip v2.0.0

On a GC I have deleted wii.dat from the SD card root and CleanRip immediately informed me that something was missing: "Redump.org DAT files not found. Download them now?" My point is that checking for the presence of both files on a GC is pointless because I cannot obviously use it to rip ...

Re: Viper GC Extreme USB Adapter problems

I know I am very late to the party on this, however I have experienced the same problem, with the transfer that would freeze from time to time and the dreaded error message as well. I managed to find a silly workaround that - for whatever reason - works for me all the time: when I transfer files kee...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

Thank you for taking the time to try it.
About the gamers, I will test some more in the next couple of days.

If/when a new nightly comes out, would you like me to focus on specific games in particular or should (GASP) tried them all again? :)

Re: Invalid or Corrupt File, possible DiskHeader size bug

I am going to scream and swear. Loudly. Maybe involving God, the Holy Mary and a couple of assorted Saints. GCM-Tool cannot open read only files. Neither can Swiss apparently. ALL the "bad" ISOs were marked "read only" in the FS. The attribute propagated on all the SD Cards I hav...

Re: Invalid or Corrupt File, possible DiskHeader size bug

Hi, I have just checked for data consistency using both Sould Calibur II NTSC/US and Baten Kaitos Origin Disc 1 NTSC/US. The CRC32, MD5 and SHA1 values calculated from a cleanly formatted SD card (after rebooting the PC to avoid reading the same data from RAM) are the same as the ISOs saved on the h...

Re: Invalid or Corrupt File, possible DiskHeader size bug

If they're clean rips, then you're getting read errors from the SD card. Are you using the SDML adapter by any chance? I am using a WiiKey SD card adaptor with a 4GB Sandisk (class 4) and a 32GB Sandisk Ultra (class 10). Both cards works fine on the PC and I have tested them using h2testw to ensure...

Re: Invalid or Corrupt File, possible DiskHeader size bug

I understand that, the point is that I am using clean rips, so it should not happen. I am reading them using SD Gecko. Edit: I have tried to reformat a 4GB card using quick format, slow format and I have even used a specific format tool. I have also deleted and re-created the partition on the card w...

Invalid or Corrupt File, possible DiskHeader size bug

I have a number verified .ISOs that are problematic with Swiss R94 and higher (e.g. R94, 174,189, 253). They all give "Invalid or Corrupt File" when I try to run them. For example: Baten Kaitos Origins (Disc 1) DL-DOL-GK4E-0-USA CRC-32: ADF9FCB3 MD5: 67A443E8E6C8E50DE87F45433EBFBDDC SHA-1:...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

This is the first of three posts were I am going to detail how Swiss R253 behaves with a bunch of games I have. I will also test the same game against R174: to check if R253 was an improvement or to check if a game that is broken with R253 worked with R174. When a game is broken using R253 and R174 ...

Re: CleanRip v2.0.0

Hi, I am testing CleanRip 2.0 and I have noticed a small glitch: CleanRip complains when it doesn't find both gc.dat and wii.dat in the root of the SD card. This is fine when you run it using a Wii, a little puzzling when you are using a Gamecube. In any case I am amazed by the increased speed. Than...

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4

There's an issue with the DAT file verification on the GC version of 1.0.4. Use 2.0, I never recommend using outdated software that I've released as I would've fixed something in the newer versions. What can I say? I just "woke up" and noticed that 2.0 is out, but I was already testing 1....

It is worth noting that with the new Swiss releases the audio for the introductory FMV in Super Smash Bros. Melee US NTSC's plays smoothly. Re: CleanRip v1.0.5

If the executable is present, Swiss would show the option to rip games and just launch CleanRip. This would allow you not ...

What is the difference between CleanRip and the ripping facility included in Swiss?

Thank you.
