Re: Mario Kart: Double Dash LAN (2 Wii's) HELP!!
(that's how you tested right? ) I tested with 2 wiis, 2 wiis + 1 wiiu, 2 wiis + wiiu + 2 PCs... all worked, regardless of wifi or wired connections. Could you you explain each step you took to get wii to wii communication to work through devolution with a lan adapter setup? Setup network using the ...

Re: Can't find Apploader/Bootrom documents (needed for homebrew app)!
The apploader doesn't transfer any data itself. The IPL keeps calling the apploader's main function in a loop as long as it returns non-zero. Each time main also fills in an address, disc offset and byte length - the IPL loads the requested data to memory before the next call to main. When all the n...

It wouldn't be formatted as FAT16, since that has a maximum partition size of 8GB.

Re: Force the game to save in Memory card b slot.
If the card is the wrong region the game will normally prompt to format it. There are a few games with bugs that cause them to crash while formatting.

Of course you can, I think you're not looking very hard.Streetwalker wrote:You do need a wiimote. You're not gonna find a Wii with a wiimote for this cheap everywhere in the world.

Re: Is another Gamecube/Wii REALLY required for setting up an exploit?
Wiis can easily be found for $20 or less in second hand stores, in most cases that's cheaper than an action replay/SDML or other equipment (you never need anything besides an SD card to hack a wii).

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
The timeout is reset for each individual read request. cmd 0xE4 enables/disables audio streaming. 0xE401xxxx enables it, 0xE400xxxx disables it. When enabling, the last 2 bytes possibly specify some buffer size; they're normally 0x000A, doesn't really matter for an emulator. A response of 0 should b...

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
If they're attempting the exact same read commands multiple times it sounds like they might be timing out (and automatically being retried). But that should only happen a few times before showing an error.

Re: My homebrew game doesn't work! (Help needed)
When reading the indices from face_bin[] you don't seem to be skipping over the first four bytes (the numFaces count).
The way you're loading the textures might not work because the pixel data needs to be 32-byte aligned.

You seem to be setting the vertex descriptors to GX_DIRECT but passing indices as data.

Re: Question, Is a Wave-bird controller GBA possible?
The GBALink cable uses completely different communication than a regular controller/wavebird. You could in theory make it wireless but it would be easier to do from scratch rather than involve a wavebird.

It's a pretty awkward keyboard to use too, can barely recognise more than two simultaneous keys and half the punctuation is all over the place in non-qwerty locations.

There's a handful of games that aren't compatible with it due to being built using a buggy SDK. The regions aren't really relevant.
Re: Qoob Chip
There's a very basic fat implementation (enough to find and load a specific file) in the twilight hack source code.
Re: Qoob Chip
That should be plenty of room if you ditch libogc (write your own EXI functions...)
