Re: Disc drive sometimes stuck in reset loop
A very late update on this since I finally took the time today to test things a little bit. I'm wondering if ultimately this is an SD card speed issue sort of thing. I use the SD Media Launcher's crappy SD Gecko with a full-sized 16GB PNY SDHC Class 4 SD Card. The thing has kind of always loved not ...

Re: Disc drive sometimes stuck in reset loop
I'm expecting 2 clicks as Extrems mentioned a hardware bug requires the reset to happen twice. But I'm getting like 8+ loud clicks in a row when the problem happens, then no drive detected. I probably poorly described how I have it set up, but I just have the new options enabled from revision 1458 w...

Disc drive sometimes stuck in reset loop
I'm not sure if this is a Swiss issue or possibly a Cubeboot or Picoboot issue. I'm leaning Cubeboot but figured I'd ask here as well. Occasionally when I start my console (which autoboots to Swiss and then autoloads from disc) I can hear the disc drive click and reset several times in a row, maybe ...

Re: Possible to add auto disc game launching?
Take a look at https://github.com/emukidid/swiss-gc/commit/4e043679d89911c88c75ab56799496734539c16a Works very nicely and cleanly leverages the favorites system much better than I would have managed to. I have yet to install a Kunai or PicoBoot to replace my SD Media Launcher, but it seems to boot ...

Re: Possible to add auto disc game launching?
Ah glad to hear you think it would be useful, I was actually modifying USB Loader GX for disc autoboot as well tonight (its UI is a lot clunkier than Swiss'). Remembering a specific disc definitely doesn't seem like the best solution, I just thought it might be an easier workaround leveraging the ex...

Possible to add auto disc game launching?
My ultimate goal is launching Swiss with disc games that's as close to a "stock" console experience as possible. A couple options like Boot through IPL and Boot Without Prompts help streamline launching a disc, but it still requires you to select the game's executable and press A to launch...

Re: Using a GCT cheat file with Swiss + original disc
The problem is that I don't have the original codes, I just have a compiled .gct file which looks like it's binary data. I've put other codes in .txt files as you described and they loaded fine (though only on an older Swiss revision, which I think is a separate issue). So I just have this compiled ...

Using a GCT cheat file with Swiss + original disc
Is this possible? .TXT formatted cheats can be loaded fine through the Cheats menu, but how do I load .GCT files? Given that I'm not launching an .iso I can't rename the file to match the .iso's filename, and selecting it manually in the file browser throws an error. Sorry if this isn't the best sec...

Re: Game Boy Interface
The low-lag version looks great on my plasma now with just a very small 1.125x zoom. The oversampling scaler looks really nice, though doesn't look good with scanlines added by GCVideo. Of course Gameboy games never really had scanlines to begin with. The box scaler looks even worse than bilinear to...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Make sure you have the most recent version of Swiss too.
EDIT: nvm, I see you have r387 which is the most up-to-date version right now.

Re: Game Boy Interface
Hey Extrems, I'd like to thank you for creating this software, I've been using it a lot now to replay Golden Sun again. The ULL version seems to work fantastic on my LG HD TV! I am curious about something (please forgive me if this is already answered here), how come this software has some sound la...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I'm going to read all the posts in this thread but I want to ask a quick question. Is this software a complete replacement for the Gameboy Player Boot Disc? Because someone has offered me a Gameboy Player for a really good price but it does not come with the boot disc. Complete replacement, provide...

Re: Game Boy Interface
The feature parity would be nice. I just had GCVideo DVI installed and GBI looks great on my plasma, to the point where I probably won't bother hooking it up to the CRT for games that don't need quick reaction times.

Re: Game Boy Interface
Extrems, is there any way to add controller configuration to the regular GBI? The same command line argument for the LL version didn't change the control scheme, is there a different method in the regular version?

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
He gave an update over a month ago, saying there was about a 10 day delay. I don't think a single tweet is much to ask for when people have already paid in full well over 2 months ago...Streetwalker wrote:He already has, kits will be ready when they'll be ready.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Any news on the progress of the EZ kits that Megalomaniac was putting together. I heard there were some issues with the flex cable. No update from Mega since October 14th. It's incredibly disheartening to not get so much as a single tweet about it in over a month, but if he's still having trouble w...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Sorry to throw more questions at you Extrems: What's the correct aspect ratio for the LL version when playing on a 4:3 CRT? Is it the default 11:10? Does it differ between Gameboy games and GBA games? I figure 1:1 was added for digital displays to correct the aspect ratio with an external scaler or ...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Personal preference and I got mine within 2 days of ordering it. I think the Pluto board looks just fine... Also you don't HAVE to remove the digital port (though I have no idea why you would want to keep it since you will now have hdmi), you could do some cutting around and mount it above the digi...

I was responding to zebular's post. Feel free to get a Pluto board if you absolutely can't wait ~3 weeks, but I don't see how anyone could recommend it these days.XC-3730C wrote:I have no argument. I am just looking for a ready to install HDMI board for my GC.
