Re: Wiimc
Also, if you have an incompatible DVD playing Wii, alternatively you can actually backup your DVD movies to an external HDD or use the SD card and WiiMC will play the files. Downside is the file sizes but I've done this and it works. Another method is to connect a USB DVD drive and play your movies ...

Re: Unsure of whats wrong?
the fan works, air isnt too hot, and i have no idea what damage to look for or do i have the bit to open up the game cube The bit can be purchased rather cheaply online. If you can't wait you can try the Bic pen method. Get a CLEAR Bic branded ink pen and remove the tip and ink tube. Over a flame y...

Mines factory. It plays burned cd's though. The only thing I've had to do was bypass the resistor on the controller board as both went out one after the other minutes apart. I got mine from a friend who said it was brand new just stored away in boxes. The boxes had water damage but the console itsel...

Re: Replacement case for full sized DVDs?
If you can't find a replacement top then personally I wouldn't cut the original. Just leave the top off (but to the side) and use full size discs without it on. Put tape or something better to hold the lid switch down. When your not playing, just sit the top back on to prevent dust accumulation. Not...

Re: Looking to mod my Gamecube
First you need a Nintendo screwdriver bit so you can open them. Or melt the tip of a clear BIC pen and mold it over the screw. Won't work if they're really tight though. In my opinion, the GC is one of the easiest to get started with as far as disassembly etc. Just the top half of the case can run y...

Since i have an original game (The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker) adjusting the POT for reading the maxell dvds makes the other discs unreadable ? Adjusting the POT for ANY DVDs can make original games unreadable, yes. Just don't over adjust. Once you find a good brand you like, you'll have to pot twe...

Re: Gamecube Display Question
You can adjust picture size to 4:3 ratio on your TV. And yeah the GameCube component cables are expensive. Only Nintendo made them and in very limited quantities. Expect to pay from $250-$300 easy online. Your cheapest solution would be to get an original GC compatible Wii and get component cables f...

The only thing I dont like is that the font size seems to be for people who have a really hard time seeing. Reminds me of a mobile site. font-size is first set to 10px, which for posts is then made 0.3 times larger, which evalues to 13px. That's not big at all. Are you using a different theme than ...

Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all. It's 11:20AM Christmas Day here at the time of this post in TX. About to wake my 3yr old to open gifts and then headed to my brothers house for family time. My daughter was awake (laying in bed) around 1:30AM and I got a small plush tree that has bells,...

Re: how far can modding go?
No problem. If you have a compatible drive that supports raw dump etc. then you can use that dvd drive in conjunction with uLoader app and play burned Wii games that way on your wii. I haven't found a solution similar to that which supports burned GC though as uLoader doesn't work for that.

I use a 32gb sd on my wii. Dvdx? Just use WiiMC. It plays dvd movies from disc (on supported Wii's) and from external HDD on any wii. Or plug an external dvd drive and play dvds that way on any Wii. As far as external hdd I have a 750gb with a 500gb partition for wii games and 250gb for gamecube gam...

Re: Importing a PAL Cube for RGB with the Game Boy Player
I'm searching for a solution to getting RGB or component out for the Game Boy Player, and I've decided I may import a PAL Cube into the U.S., and use the RGB output. While I can't do 480p with RGB, I can do 240p, now that this can be done with Swiss, and run it into my XRGB to either linedouble it ...

PAL Gamecube on NTSC TV
This isn't really a question though a solution I found for some of you... I have a PAL Gamecube and I recently sold my component cables as I needed the cash. I heard of but wasn't exactly familiar with the issues using a PAL on an NTSC TV via composite. I do have more than one cube so this isn't an ...

You could probably do that with WiiMC Player but that would be pretty cool to do. Do you mean rip a DVD to fit on a mini DVD with maybe a menu and little else? I would like to see that.

Re: SD media launcher
I've had many comments on my YT channel about this. I wasn't aware until others mentioned it and found the issue. You must insert the SDML sd card adapter first before starting the disc in order for the sd menu to pop up. It doesn't accept high capacity cards upon startup either. You can switch to o...

Re: Real quick questions regarding drive replacement.
You need a security bit to open the gamecube too, not sure which size. Other than that you're good to go! Or you can take a Bic pen (clear plastic) remove the ink and tip, and melt over a flame. Then quickly mold it over the screw until it hardens. It's a quick and simple solution since those Ninte...

Re: Best school friendly bag for a cube?
Need one of these? It's a GC school bag. Lots of pockets. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom of the bag isn't solid. It's material so it doesn't stand on its own. I found it on eBay. Also has a shoulder handle and the logo is stitched.

The game will save to the memory card in either slot. SDML can be used in either slot as well. I don't believe Swiss currently supports saving to sd cards. Swiss.dol is the file you need to run.
