Does anyone use this with the Framemeister?
This has been my experience:
ULL 240p + FM = garbage + sound
ULL 480p + FM = working
LL 240p + FM = working
Why won't 240p ULL work?

Re: Game Boy Interface
I would do a little more research by asking people who are using it with a Framemeister- first things first, do the people that use one with an LCD experience the wobble without it? The big thing is I hear a lot about input framerate locking and other such Framemeister settings. It's very likely th...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I've been enjoying GBI with my mini via component and everything's been looking good but today I got my Everdrive GB so I stuck it in, loaded GBI and... no picture. Nice sound though. So maybe it's a Gameboy color issue? Stuck in a GBA game and.. same thing. Bear in mind this worked yesterday and I ...

Force 240p for dols in Swiss?
I recently got to Swiss by way of brosexec and I did it all to play Game Boy Interface in 240p, the issue is I can't seem to figure out how to force 240p for it in Swiss. I can force it for my retail discs just fine (240p Melee!) but the same method doesn't seem to work for GBI. I'm using the latest...

Re: DoLaunchers: McLoader and Brosexec
So what's all the other stuff in the folder for? Short answer: so anyone can get the setup the way they like the most: brosexec loads autoexec.dol from sdgecko; brosexecconf is a simple dol loading app (quicker than browsing trough swiss if you use many dol files), mcloader is a dol launcher app, b...

Re: DoLaunchers: McLoader and Brosexec
So I can use this to load into Swiss? Because all I want to hit Name Entry in Melee and then just be at Swiss. Then from Swiss load GBI IN 240p but that's a different topic. I just want to make sure I have it clear, I'm taking the .gci file and placing it on my memory card, right? So what's all the ...

Re: Home Bros.
You'll need a homebre-enabled gamecube or any retrocompatible wii (which can run homebrew without any additional hardware) to put the savegames on a gamecube memory card Right, not the part I'm struggling with. I'm struggling to make the conversion using Home Bros. I want to get a DOL launcher but ...

Re: Home Bros.
The sd adaptor can't work as a memory card. I don't know if swiss supports memory card emulation though. 2GB is the limit for non-sdhc cards Look for dolaunchers, install the simple brosexec to memory card, put swiss or whatever you want as autoexec.dol Thanks. I'm in the clear then. I still don't ...

Re: Home Bros.
I got my SD memory card finally. I need help. I figure now I can just load home bros via this thing and bypass the real memory cards entirely. But apparently it doesn't work as a memory card for games? I formatted it to FAT32 and the card claims to have only 2gb so maybe I'm doing something wrong th...

Re: Home Bros.
A. I don't think it's "speedrun oriented" so much as "correctly done" oriented. The three versions partly exists because SDA rules disallow turbo controllers. The standard version is usable in speedrunning if your community doesn't care. Really? Oh my mistake. I just thought peo...

Re: Home Bros.
Exploit works great, have no qualms. However I have some feedback on the speedrunning oriented GBI. Emulator works great, but there seems to be a frame of lag attached to any action. Also the sound occasionally glitches out and then shortly after cuts out until the console is powered off. Looking f...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Tearing appears for me via Framemeister using component to D-terminal in ULL. All NTSC.
It's not too bad and it's not frequent at all. I figure it has something to do with the weird refresh rate.

Nintendo made their own official SD Memory Card for Gamecube? Or do you mean actual memory cards with no SD card slot?suloku wrote:As far as I know the only that might be different is the official nintendo one, but still works the same.

Re: Home Bros.
It will work. I might code a very simple memory card dol loader if I get time, but having an sd card adaptor is the best way to run homebrew. Also, you won't have to rewrite gbi to your memory card with every new version and you will be able to use parameters when booting with swiss latest build. C...

Re: Home Bros.
It'd be like 113. But do you have a SD card adapter for the memory card port? I don't currently support loading additional DOL files from the memory card yet. I do not. I am very new to this. Home Bros. is my gateway in. So far all I really want out of this is GBI ULL in 240p. I noticed Melee dicta...

Fun fact with this, the video mode GBI gets to use is dictated by Melee. At least over component.

Can ULL run in fake widescreen? How do I switch games in ULL?
I loaded via Home Bros and I noticed my video mode was dictated by what Melee was at, how do I load 240p?

Re: Game Boy Interface
Few questions. Does ULL have widescreen support? If so, do GB/C games automatically resize themselves or do I need to unstretch the picture if I switch to one of those? I plan on using the Framemeister to expertly zoom in and have the game take up as much space as possible and keep square pixels, so...

I'm here to hack my Gamecube!
I hope to find out what to buy, who to send it to to install, etc.
Is there a way to USB load yet? I don't want to deal with discs and I figure it'd be cool to bypass the whole memory card gecko thing at the same time.

Re: Game Boy Interface
I was wondering what people's experiences were with component cables and Framemeister?
Also, what exactly do I need to run this? I never actually got into Gamecube modding or cheat codes or anything. I have a Gameboy Player, I have a disc. What's next?
