Re: Swiss and In-Game-Reset

I believe a card reset is probably needed to get it out of a mid read state because in game I do some dodgy things to make large contiguous reads fast by not ending the read commands unless if I have to.

Re: Total Gamecube ISO hacking?

I was wondering if anyone here would know about the best tools for doing this and how to go about d...

Re: Gamecube Start-up beep sound!

There's no speaker or buzzer, it's a combination of the drive moving the laser sled back quickly after the disc has been accepted and the motor coming up to the required speed. As drives start to fail you can hear this sound become longer in duration as it attempts to focus/maintain the speed at the...

Yeah, freeloader is pretty useless for homebrew unless if you're using it to boot an out of region original that you have a save game exploit for.

Rawdump is pretty slow, 8160 isn't in the list of compatible drives but try it, if it's not compatible you'll know instantly.

A couple of years ago, I bought a Qoob Pro chip, and I was not able to flash it: the flasher always crashed after writing 16kb of data. I posted my problem here in this thread, and despite the helpfulness of the members of this forum, I was not able to flash it. Today, I was able to flash the chip,...

Re: Any custom devices using the Hi-Speed Parallel Port?

Is this port accessible at all from homebrew software? If not then I suppose booting/accessing anything from this port would be impossible. :D Actually, yes there has been some homebrew alternatives to the Gameboy player software called GBI. Other homebrew should be able to access it. Closed source...

Yeah, I specially want to play with the graphics chip. The lib "GX" that handles it on this devkit pro thing: 140 lines of C to get a triangle on the screen, I've seen worse. There's some part of it that aren't obvious when reading it, but they are probably related on how the hardware act...

Thank you for your quick answers. Wow, awesome. Thank you for this. I think I am missing something with the texture pack feature. Used the Texture packer app. Created a Texture pak file and put it in SD:wii64/hires folder and also on usb. Is it supposed to load textures on start automatically? I don't see any difference in textures...
