Re: Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss

Hi there, a friend of mine is getting a wode for his Wii. I'm now thinking what would be the best way to use it. The main use case is to play Gamecube games of the WODE. Maybe some Wii games too, but GC is the main goal. The Wii has no Homebrew Channel installed yet, but I'm planning to do so. I as...

Re: Still impossible to boot to SD with Xeno?

Hey, I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times... Back when I made my setup there seemed to be no way to boot directly to swiss or any other .dol file in a Xeno modded Gamecube without booting to a disc first. Lately my disc drive has started to fail more and more (having to reset multiple t...

Re: US Gamecube DL-001 can't read Freeloader

I bought a Freeloader disc on Ebay (version 1.0) so that I could play PAL games on my second-hand American Gamecube since it's more accessible for me after moving countries. But for whatever reason it won't read the disc. I've heard that the newer versions of the Gamecube don't work with Freeloader...

Re: random dre

Lol yup me again... no didn't try another burner but haven't done much burning. With it. It won't really improve much to be honest but it's worth a shot. As Streetwalker already mentioned some games will put more stress on the disc drive by wanting to seek across large areas quickly and perform sma...

This may be the result of a bug that may occur sometimes based on interrupt timing. Try again a few times and see if it gets any better. I really need to fix this :(

Re: Mario Kart Double Dash - playing online

Hello After some advice. What exactly is required to play this game online? A few of us wish to play and aware that we need to firstly purchase a broadband adapter each. Is it then just a case of using a tunneling site link Xlink Kai and hosting a game? Is this easy to do? Does the game run OK or a...

Re: Gamecube Memory Card Slot A Not Working

So i recently bought a used gamecube online and of course it came with a defect. I put a memory card into the Slot A and it couldn't read the memory card. I inserted it into the Slot B and it read it just fine. This wouldn't have been such a big problem if games like Pac Man World 2 can't save onto...

Re: Is my GC motherboard dead?

Hi guys, My gamecube was in a drawer for about 3 years, and when i pluged it to play last week i got "no signal" message on my tv, with the led light and fan working. When i put a disc inside it doesn't spin. I tried with another cable and it was the same, my cable on a friend's gamecube ...

Re: Which mini dvd-r disks?

Hi, Which mini DVD-r disks have the best compatibility to be read in the GameCube that are still readily available in the UK. I was told Ritek 04's but can't seem to get hold of any. What would be the best alternative? Cheers. Darker dye ritek seem to work best. Try burning them at a lower speed wi...

Re: XEN8GC install issues

I don't know why but I have some drives that just will not accept the XENO clone chips from China. Have taken them out and they work on other drives so I'm at a loss on this. I plan on testing on the alternative install points on the other side of the drive as I recommend you should try if cleaning...

The device they were less careful with is DVD discs but it's not like you can author those and even if you could why bother when you could make a bootable disc anyway

Re: Rebel Strike disc noisy?

I'm fairly sure there was a recalled run of this game disc where they had either placed the files in a bad order on the disc which lead to thrashing of the laser causing read errors or they just had disc printing errors. I can't find any facts to back it up but maybe another member will recall the i...

What does the drive do, does it keep resetting? The lights generally blink when it resets the drive and attempts to upload the patch code. I'd check the soldering against the wired version solder points (have a search on the forum here for that installation picture). The drive works as if the modch...

Im looking to inject it into the experience emulator but the tools say it is too big. Not64 will play it but with some crippling bugs. Is there another way that i can play this game on the gamecube decently? Not really - get a Wii if you can or put up with the crippling issues in Not64/Cube64. It's...

I'm posting this because while I believe that this isn't a Swiss feature as of right now, I don't know for sure. Re: SD Gecko not showing in Swiss

Shouldn't be any extra step, can you browse it if you hit X and change the speed to "compatible"? Okay, so when I first boot, SD card isn't an option in the menu. I have to hit Z to show all the devices. So far so good (sort of). I'm able to go back and forth in the menu with the dpad and...
