Re: Info how to create a banner...

Curious about this F-Zero-AX too, is it a Triforce hacked rom, or the GC hacked one? Has somebody "converted" a homebrew .dol to fake GC ISO so that you can have custom icon for that specific homebrew? That would be nice as long as SWISS doesn't support custom .dol icons (or does it already?). It's...

Re: Normal Gamecube pricing

70 USD is cheap if it's complete with a controller/working/ready to go these days unfortunately. The cheapest I've bought GameCube consoles recently has been for $35 USD each but I had to buy 12, and most didn't have working lasers and the cases were extremely sun faded. If you keep searching you ca...

Re: An Error ocurred

Metroid Prime is known to be fairly taxing on the disc drive with rapid seeks, especially when opening doors. If you're using the NTSC 1.0 release of the game, they actually re-released it as 1.01 to fix some of these issues. The fact that it's happening on 2 games though leads me to believe that yo...

Re: Tips on maintaining your VG collection??

Make sure you keep them out of direct sunlight, away from sources of extreme temperature and yeah dust. You can get plastic UV protective cases for carts/boxes. I typically keep mine on a shelf, with boxed/rare things in a cupboard + in UV protective cases.

Where'd you get WiiSX from? Is your ISO a known good dump? There's a fork of WiiSX (WiiSXR?) that's supposedly better but I've not tried it, you could give that a go.

Re: How do I use SNES/NES/SEGA emulators with SD2SP2?

Okay, something might be up with your SD2SP2 and/or the SD card you're using then. You should be able to typically just extract the release from something like FCEU-GX straight to the root of your SD card and you'll have the structure setup properly. These emulators also typically set up the folder ...

Oh, you're probably using exFAT, these emulators only support FAT32. Swiss supports exFAT which is what might be confusing you.

Hmm, where are you downloading these from? You're potentially not using the latest versions or your ROMs etc aren't in the correct folders?

Disc 1 & Disc 2 should all be bootable, that's a requirement for every 2 disc game.

Just use whatever device is fastest for you and the less you change settings the faster it is, cause it'll verify that it doesn't need to write changes.

You could get a RawDump compatible drive and use a PC but honestly getting a modded Wii for CleanRip is much cheaper and easier in the long run.

Re: GCoS v1.4 option to boot from SD

You will likely need to have a 2GB or less SD card and then set it up for SDLoad, there's a recent thread about it. To be honest I'd just put something else on the Viper rather than bother with this.

Re: Concerns About Recently Acquired Pre-Modded DOL-001

Yeah, I've had a dying battery cause impossible/future dates, get it changed.

Also the ports on consoles I typically buy as "junk" from Japan need to be cleaned with contact cleaner, especially the digital video port and the 2/3/4 controller ports.

Re: Swiss & Rest Button also Patching

Patching is required ahead of time (as in, in game time) because there isn't enough free memory like in nintendont or devolution on the Wii to apply patches to functions in games (e.g. to implement redirects/hypervisor calls so that games can run from devices such as SD cards or in widescreen etc) a...

Re: Wii64 Beta 1.2 fork by Fix94

i saw latest version of Wii64 by @emu_kidid is 1.2 r19-11-2020. But it lacks all the fixes, optimizations, settings, features and posibility of using Wii64 as a Wiiflow plugin, all of them made by @FIX94 in 2017. Can anyone do these fixes and enable posibility of using Wii64 r19-11-2020 version on ...

Re: Memory Card slot broken

Is anything in Slot A when you see that message? If not then you have something shorting contacts in the slot or a short somewhere internally in the GameCube. If it's a memory card that you've only tried in Slot A and never the same one in Slot B then the card is likely corrupt beyond repair.

Pretty sure you're just running into a memory limit that they've not addressed with larger ROMs. The same is prevalent across many of their cores, try a tiny ROM to confirm.

Try Not64 instead, but please note that Not64/Cube64 (the name given to Wii64 on GameCube) aren't worth trying to use on GameCube to actually play anything with. I'm not sure if there's been a Not64 release with SD2SP2 support, I have a Wii64/Cube64 release in the wings but haven't released it just ...

Re: Trouble Launching Homebrew

I have to admit I thought you had SDML or a version of Action Replay that allowed loading DOL files from SD, but you're saying you've actually got an older version where you've had to run sdpatch + enter the 29 line code? That would explain a lot if so.
