The extra 5 million is probably from Brazil sales they had to add many years after hehe.
The world is more populated now, it makes sense the newer consoles that are actually popular will surpass it.

Re: Is my GC's Serial Port 2 damaged?!
Yeah it works around the EXI bus issue where the data flows back out and sends SD cards/devices garbage when using DMA. Note that it doesn't work in slot A, it'll just fallback to normal PIO functionality there

Re: Is my GC's Serial Port 2 damaged?!
Yeah, get yourself a GC2SD V2 by Bitfunx, they work in slot B with DMA and you don't have to fiddle around with a loose slot (those edge connectors look very dirty considering you've only just bought it too!). Otherwise just clean the port a lot, carefully.

Re: Is my GC's Serial Port 2 damaged?!
Also, got a picture of the SD2SP2? * You don't need the SP1 cover for the SD2SP2 "Pro" (the style that brings the SD card slot out to the side). * Try a larger SD card (> 2GB), it's possible but unlikely that byte addressed SD support is broken. * FAT32 formatted? If the GameCube was missi...

Bot traffic, downtime
Hi all, You may have recently noticed we'd been down for about a week or more. It was due to heavy bot traffic targeting our small site (approx 1 million hits per day). I'd enabled CloudFlare to capture the data which then backfired as it ended up being itself detected as a bot on the host that runs...

Re: Reusing existing racing wheels?
As far as I'm aware, games had to specifically support the Logitech wheel so it's not going to be that easy unless if you wired as a GameCube controller and then just used it like a controller mapped to a wheel. Have a read of this thread for more information: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-a...

Re: Open SRAM language modifier - OpenSLM
SRAM Language modifier I'd written ages ago and lost the source but the functionality of it remains in Swiss anyway when you change the SRAM Language. Suloku did an "Open" version as you've found which is a better recreation anyway.

Re: Hi there
Welcome, it's a great console to go back to every once in a while for sure. I'm still reminded what a great console it is every time I use it.

Re: NInjamod problem
You're not going to get any support here for that, it's far too outdated and it's a closed source knockoff of GCOS, dump it and get picoboot setup and a SD card solution.

Re: Is there any way to upload swiss.dol into Ninjamod flash?
Swiss isn't currently released in this format at this stage, perhaps one day. What I meant be scrambling it is it needs to be in a proper format since the ninjamod is a full IPL replacement. You'd need part of the proprietary ROM mixed into it which isn't exactly legal, GCOS used to have the .BIOS f...

Re: Is there any way to upload swiss.dol into Ninjamod flash?
Yeah, you used to be able to flash GCoS, I think you just need to scramble it. But also, burn that ninjamod because I dislike everything about the team that made it
Honestly a picoboot setup would be much cleaner this year

Re: CubeSX
For rumble to work, the controller type needs to be set to "Analog". I've used rumble on a Wii Remote + Classic Controller Pro just fine in something like Street Fighter Alpha 3 (after enabling it in the game too).
Re: CubeSX
Can you raise an issue on GitHub if you don't mind? I'll take a look if you can provide exact steps and detail what your setup is made.

Re: Edit a GC ISO's memory card's icon?
You can rename the file header and contents by searching for the string or changing the game ID on the ISO itself. The icon would be modified in a similar manner by finding where it lives and modifying it. I wouldn't recommend it without knowing what issues it'll cause in something like Swiss and in...
Re: NOOB HELP
What version of Picoboot are you using? 0.3 will almost instantly boot to the original IPL ("the normal gamecube startup screen") if it can't find something custom to boot on a storage device.
If you put 0.4 on, it'll halt (with some info on screen) when it can't find anything.

Re: The Struggling Emulators (N64, PS1, NEO GEO, MAME)
Anything that wants to read ROM from SD and not memory is going to struggle, Mario Parties are all 32MB so they will have lots of constant loading, plus from what I recall there was flickering and layer ordering issues.
