Link: https://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=GameCube_versions Just re-posting this here so it can have a bit more exposure in case if anyone has access to anything here that hasn't been dumped/documented yet. If anyone knows of any additional GameCube boards that haven't been documented he...

Re: Atari 2600/7800 emulators
It's pretty old, but I doubt much has happened in the Atari 2600/7800 emulation scene since (happy to be corrected if I'm wrong).

Re: RTC not working?
I mentioned this via PM, but what's your setup like? What's the boot process for you, do you ever see the original IPL/GameCube menu or are you straight into Swiss?

IDE-EXI "v2" source
A long time ago, isobel from gc-linux.com made modifications to the IDE-EXI vhdl to support DMA over EXI. This remained unreleased for a little while ~9 years (:P) since it had issues with the newly added multi word write command, but I've asked him at the request of others if it would be okay to re...

Re: Virtual Memory Card errors
SDSC uses byte addressing and thus goes through a slightly different code path so it's possible there's an issue somewhere since hardly anyone out there is still using SDSC + Virtual Memory Cards.

Can you try and upload a before/after of the .raw files so that we can see the corruption that has occurred?

Re: Help to diagnose possible lens failure
It's not your lens failing (I mean they all are really to a different degree), the Datel/CodeJunkies discs are known to be notoriously hard to read even on lasers with low mileage. The suggestions Papy.G made are worth looking into if you have an original disc of an exploitable game and a spare memo...

Re: GC Loader - improvements - like WODE Jukebox
From what I hear the FPGA is already nearly full or completely full, so don't hold out too much hope for this to be added. You could write a small loader that sits before Swiss/whatever as boot.iso that reads a .txt file on the device, but the problem is that GCLoader is read-only effectively too so...

Re: Hello all :) gameboy interface issue
The lack of replies here seems to indicate that you haven't provided enough detail but rather a thought dump of the process that led you to where you're currently at, and that will need to be dissected. Can you explain what you've got in terms of setup? Post a link to where you bought your "GameCube...
Re: Viper GC
Not yet and not without cutting it down severely (removing video calls).
dolxz appears to require a change in order to make it work properly from a cold boot on ViperGC too so that's not an option either.

Re: [Screwed Up] Optical board damaged while soldering XenoGC
It can definitely be fixed but given you didn't have the expertise to perform the modification in the first place you probably also (currently) lack the skills to repair it. If you feel like learning/spending some time on it, watch some videos online on how to perform pcb/trace repair and experiment...

Re: Action replay...I am a bit lost
Codes like that are in the WiiRD raw format, you need to turn them into Action Replay format, there are converters online and others have probably linked to reputable ones in other threads, please have a search.
Re: Qoob Chip
Flash Swiss to an empty slot on the Qoob Pro, when booting up, hold Y to bring up the flash menu on the Qoob Pro and select Swiss.
For original discs, hold X to bypass the Qoob Pro and go to the original menu.
Basically, don't use the Qoob Bios for anything else

Re: GCOS questions
I had a look, you're better off just using Dolphin and enable texture dumping to get it raw, or straight from your HDMI footage, it's a packed format and if you look at draw.c from the same source you'll see how it's unpacked and then directly drawn onto the framebuffer: //Allocate some space to dec...

Re: GCOS Releases
Welcome.
Yes those are bitmaps of some kind represented as byte arrays in .c/.h files.
Don't use GCOS as an example into programming for the GameCube, it's extremely outdated, you're better off looking at Swiss.
edit: made separate thread for this.

Re: Viper GC
I've also been messing with IPLBoot trying to get it to fit as a VGC, made some progress but ran into a problem I'm looking to resolve soon.

Re: Plugins for Viper GC (a SDloader?)
Sorry to bump this old thread but I was wondering if there is a plugin (preferably one that fits on the regular Viper GC modchip) available that either immediately starts Swiss from SD2SP2 or one that accesses the SD card in the SD2SP2 so I can start Swiss manually from there... There isn't as said...

Re: Dead dvd drive but laser working?
On the faulty top part, the laser is working fine but it is not able to launch any game. For originals it tries to read it and the lens will go all on top after a while and the disc will stop spinning (sometimes up to 15-20 second trying to read game). - I can see the laser beam so it is not burnt ...

Re: Fried motherboard repair (zeldaxpro HDMI adapter)
Sounds like it was something in the zeldaxpro that burnt up and not in the GameCube itself. As for it working again, sometimes there's components that have a non-instant recovery time (like a fuse, but not quite), I've noticed it in some Nintendo 64 power bricks myself after having shorted something...

Hi all! New user on the forum. Found this thread during my google search for more information. I'm new to the modding scene in general.
