Re: A model of the shell for 3D printing?

I've never seen one around here, but it shouldn't be too hard to make one.

Re: Mod chips available in 2018?

You're welcome. I recommend the wired install if you do get one as it's a lot easier and has a much higher success rate.

Most of the issues come from poor installation, nothing else.

Re: Mod chips available in 2018?

Nothing wrong with "knockoff" xenos. The firmware is open source and anyone can make one. Your other options are finding a WKF, WASP, WODE, Qoob or Viper but those are all pretty expensive these days.

It's definitely a case swap, the rear panel color is supposed to match the rest of the console.

Re: GC fan replacement

Leave it alone. It's the tachometer pin which is used by PC motherboards to measure fan speed. If you have a 4th pin, it's the PWM input for fans that have a fancier driver, and it can also be left floating.

Hold the L trigger down during startup, then you can set the default video mode in the settings.

I recommend you ask over at the Dolphin forum, where people who know it better will be able to help you. We're more into messing with the real hardware over here.

Re: Questions regarding SWISS / How to use SWISS from JAP GC no modichip from SD?

- Yes. - If you can find an older SDML disc which is not region-locked, then it will, but the new ones from Datel are locked. - To the best of my knowledge, not at the moment. BadAssConsoles used to sell solderless adapters for Wii drive emulators, but he has stopped since the supply has ended. Mayb...

Re: Swiss and In-Game-Reset

That's a known issue. For some reason, the SD card won't be seen until you pull the adapter out of the GC and plug it back in. I've never really looked into it so I have no idea how hard it would be to fix it.

Do you ever post anything that isn't completely wrong?
PAL units have built-in RGB output, which he's using. Though it can't do 480p, it's about as good as the component cables.

NTSC-U and PAL use the same format. NTSC-J uses SJIS and is not compatible with them.

It looks like there is no need for a mastercode. If the software forces you to input one, use one of the codes that you want to use as the master code.

Re: Qoob Chip

The qoob sx has proven to be very difficult to work with, and without hardware to test with, I don't think I'll ever be able to support it. I might release an open source hardware design in the future, but it's pretty far off from being ready for public consumption.

Why do you need to get so triggered over a suggestion? It's not like I put a gun to your head and forced you to do it.
What I was trying to say is I'm sure someone has figured out the save format for this game. With that information, you could at least edit the save yourself with a hex editor.

The GBI source code is completely unnecessary to access the high speed port though. It's literally the same as ARAM.

I don't know how Swiss's network loading works. I recommend SD gecko over anything else as it's known to work with no hassle.
