These mods have no chance of interacting with each other. You can safely have both.

Re: Play NTSC-U Games on Japanese Gamecube?

You can try to find an older action replay or freeloader disc. With action Replay or a game exploit you can also boot Swiss.

Re: swiss and SD-microdSD

Faster cards won't really make a difference with Swiss because 1) EXI is slower than what even the slowest cards can put out and 2) SD access and the game starve each other for CPU time.

Re: Swiss SD Gecko Game Buzzing > Freeze Issue

Because like I said, the PAL version of Metroid Prime is a newer version of the game with a lot of bug fixes and also some added features. See this: http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_M ... ifferences.

Re: Swiss SD Gecko Game Buzzing > Freeze Issue

Yeah the PAL version of Metroid Prime had a lot of bug fixes. The disc access timing issues could actually cause crashes with an original disc and a real drive.

Re: Swiss SD Gecko Game Buzzing > Freeze Issue

Disc is your best bet for now. Rogue Leader is one of those games that are sensitive to the way Swiss reads from an SD card (and disc access timings in general), Metroid Prime NTSC as well, and I suppose Mario Strikers is one of them too.

Re: wii to gc while capturing footage

That's not really the reason why quality is better though. GCvideo has direct access to the XFB contents, and outputs a minimally processed video signal (all it really does is linear interpolation on chroma + conversion to RGB). The Wii is known to have a bad video encoder that produces worse compon...

Re: wii to gc while capturing footage

It is. Gamecube component is better than Wii, but also much more expensive. The HDMI mod is a great middle ground in price and has the best picture quality.

Re: How do I fix my GameCube?

And the voltage gets regulated on the mainboard. Like I said if the wrong voltage had reached silicon, the console would have fried instantly, not after a few minutes of use. The power supply (power brick and internal VRM) on the other hand can probably handle some heat before giving it up.

The atmega doesn't know nor care about the drive version, the payload itself handles everything.

You don't, the IPL will work but it's interlaced.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable

I believe the default is not to line-double interlaced video, which your monitor might not handle. Try a TV or plug in your DVD drive and boot a 480p title.

Support for non-HC cards might actually be broken, I don't even have one to test with, and I don't think emu_kidid ever tests it either.

Create a gbi-ll.cli file with the command line options you want (see op). The options menu in Swiss sets those flags.

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

Oh, SD media launcher. I can't really help you much with that, all I can suggest is that you get a xenogc chip and use a Swiss disc to boot instead. It's hard to find good small cards anymore, let alone non-HC.

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

1) Disregard the readme, emukidid didn't review it that well before merging it. It's incomplete and full of misinformation. 2) Small cards are much more likely to fail because they're often slow/low quality for maximal cost savings, Patriot is also a cheap brand as far as I'm aware. Like I said, try...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

Cluster size is completely irrelevant to Swiss. Use FAT32 always. Also keep in mind that the whole thing is very sensitive to bad cards, and even fancy, expensive cards can fail on some occasions. If you've only tried two cards, you haven't tried enough cards. Get yourself a nice sandisk ultra card,...

Re: Best way to play GC Games

https://github.com/Streetwalrus/iplboot I've added viper support to it and I think a few people have confirmed that it works. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to flash a viper (I have a qoob pro) so I'll leave that to someone else. GC HDMI (or properly modding a Wii the same way, there's only a sli...
