Thank you.
Absolutely phenomenal feature, particularly when combined with the 1:1 framebuffer option. Your work is much appreciated.

Re: Stages of deflicker filter removal
Thanks, I had no clue. Would it be ok to elaborate as to the nature of the filters?

Stages of deflicker filter removal
Loving the deflicker removal in Swiss for Gamecube games. I usually use medium (1) with the 1:1 framebuffer option, stretching the image a little with my CRT's horizotal width pot to fill the screen. This produces a lovely CRT image that's nice and clean without being overly pixellated. My question ...

Re: Wondering what vertical offset is and what it should be set at?
Thanks as always extrems - I’ve fiddled with it & can’t remember what the default was - was it minus 3?

Wondering what vertical offset is and what it should be set at?
Hi all,
I'm wondering what the 'vertical offset' setting is for in Swiss and what it should be set at? I'm playing on a 480i consumer CRT.
Cheers.

Re: OOT in Swiss
I'm not sure how to get them working since they already work. Thanks Extrems, much appreciated as always. Is it not working for me because my version of Swiss is too old? I have a 2022 version - 0.4 commit 9c7d802 rev 683. I get the error screen when I open the Legend of Zelda 4 game collectors edi...

OOT in Swiss
Hi all, I want to play Ocarina of time on the Gamecube on my 480i CRT with the vertical filter reduced (on 1 rather than the default 2). I have the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time & Master Quest bonus disk as well as the legend of zelda 4 game collectors edition disc, both of which have OOT. I ...

Boot from SDGecko
Hi, I’ve been using an action replay disk to launch Swiss from an SDGecko card in slot 2 of my GameCube. I don’t have a hardware mod & want to keep the console stock. I tried running an ISO from the SD card in the SDGecko with Swiss on it, but it just bounces me back to the media selection scree...

Optimised 50hz-only PAL games?
PAL Metroid prime is speed-optimised when playing in 50hz mode. The increased pixel density makes this a preferable way to play for me. The game runs at 60fps in 60Hz mode and therefore the 10fps drop to 50fps in 50Hz is small enough to not be an issue for me and not jarring like a 30fps to 25fps ju...

Re: 1080i60 on 60Hz titles?
@Extrems: This question falls in an really appropriate timing, as I had some complementary questions to ask on the topic: Are those modes still reserved to the Nintendo original component cable and high end CRTs, or can it be used with a GCVideo analog cable too, now with the FW V3, or even more wi...

Re: 1080i60 on 60Hz titles?
It doesn't really impact the performance, at least not in a way that can be easily determined, as it's using field rendering (hence the 60 FPS requirement). Hacking field rendering into games tend to come with issues. Thanks, it’s really a great option. It looks like progressive scan on my CRT - I ...

1080i60 on 60Hz titles?
I was amazed to accidentally discover that Swiss can force the vertical resolution of 60hz games to 1080i. I tried it with Super monkey ball and indeed the game looks less pixelated on my NEC XV29+ CRT monitor. I have a couple of questions: Does this mode impact the performance of the game? And does...

Re: Need PAL GameCube to force 576p?
There's nothing wrong, other than you trying to pixel count on a CRT. . Apologies for the delay - family life is fairly hectic at the mo. I get your point; I do tend to be a bit ocd about this stuff. I really appreciate the comment, though, as it confirms that I did have the setup right, and having...

Re: Need PAL GameCube to force 576p?
Yes, sorry I forgot - bit of an obtuse moment there. I figured that as there’s so many possibilities of what I could be doing wrong, it might be easier if I put a 2 minute YouTube video up to see the process I’m going through to boot the game; it’s uploading now & I’ll post it here as soon as it...

Re: Need PAL GameCube to force 576p?
Just to add - could it be because I’m getting the error message “Config failed to save”?
Even though this happens every time, when I boot the game it still says “video mode:”576p”

Re: Need PAL GameCube to force 576p?
Thanks for the continued help. I’ve tried with CMPV-DOL, but still 480p when Swiss is set to 576p :( Just to be sure I’m just not noticing the jump in resolution, I’m counting the pixels from the same point on an object & it’s always the same as 480p. I have the game (Metroid prime 1) in PAL &am...

Cheers. I just checked and the configuration device is right - SD card in slot 2.
The AVE compatibility defaults to GCvideo - is that right if I'm outputting via VGA modded D-terminal cable?
