Re: Swiss 0.2

If i remember correctly, then Wind Waker works for me in 32MHz mode, just with sound glitches. So it could be indeed a sd card problem, but i'm no Swiss expert.

Re: Swiss 0.2

Hmm, letting fstfix rebuild a full size .iso might be worth a try, but it sounds like: - A Wii specific problem(unlikely, other people would have had the same) - A corrupt/damaged .iso(does it work in Dolphin or some other method to play the .iso?) - A problem with your sd card It should not matter ...

Hi emu_kidid, my updated patch for Wind Waker is reported to work for the japanese version of the game as well: int patch__GXSetVAT(u8 *buf, u32 size) { u32 i; u32 match_count = 0; const u32 old_table[31] = { /*0x8142ce00,*/ 0x39800000, 0x39600000, 0x3ce0cc01, 0x48000070, 0x5589063e, 0x886a04f2, 0x3...

Re: Swiss 0.2

Midway Arcade Treasures 3 still doesn't work in any settings. TimeSplitters: Future Perfect and 007: Agent Under Fire do work well and I am happy for that. Thanks! 007: Agent under Fire does something unusual after the 2nd level, before showing the results for that level. Due the how Swiss' prepatc...

Re: Swiss 0.2

If the memory card emulation is added, it will be one file or one folder on your FAT32 partition next to your .iso files, no need for 2 partitions.

Re: Swiss 0.2

Before something like that is done, it needs to be confirmed that .wbfs files do not break audio streams. If not, this would just create a total mess.

@panmusic:
What happens in Eternal Darkness when you die? The game reloads the main.dol on death, i'm not sure if the prepatcher takes care of that.

emu_kidid i just saw your new audio streaming code, and i have to say it looks a bit suspicious to me. Are 4 bytes really enough to identify those functions without error?

Re: WODE save game problem

I assume GC bios chips patch the IPL to accept import games and just boot them. All modchips for Wii cheat with their region free support. If you would use the WODE + priiloader region free hacks or WODE + NeoGamma, then the games would not be patched, they would just be booted.

Re: Swiss 0.1

Arrgh. You must not shrink audio streaming games. Well, if you had a shrinker that respects the alignment of audio streams, it would be fine. If the game tries to play an audio stream that is not correctly aligned, it gets an error before the game tells the drive to play the stream. If Swiss patches...

Do you have a Wii or a gamecube? The issue only happens on a Wii because of the hardware differences of both systems.

Re: USB-Load v2 Does not work. (Froze on "Press A when ready

Sorry for the late answer, but isn't this a gamecube program? Which means, you need to execute it as gamecube homebrew. So when you boot it from the HBC directly, it is executed as wii homebrew, this just can't work.

Try to boot with with Wii Swiss Booter.

@emu_kidid: Why??? Seriously, why? 1. http://code.google.com/p/swiss-gc/wiki/Compiling Is step 2 still required? I skipped it and it still worked, so i guess the code is more user friendly now. Step 3, overwrite stuff in my libogc folder, so other stuff gets compiled differently? Is this still requi...

Re: Swiss 0.1

WiiPower, you could stick that code anywhere and branch to it, perhaps over a few of the unused video timings, or over some useless UART function/etc. I was going to write my own way to do it but this way just works so I left it as-is. I do need to try a few other games which don't want to force su...

Hi emu_kidid, good to see that you were busy, good work. I'd like to steal the 480p code for NeoGamma, but i can't use it because i only have 20 bytes of memory left. Is there any chance to use the code, but without needing additional memory? I see that the game is patched to jump to the function in...

Btw, you only need the prepatcher if something doesn't work at all. If the game would crash before it boots or after selecting new game or something, then the prepatcher might help.

Re: PAL composite connector

Ah, so it's similar to the everything in red issue on wii with NTSC480i + RGB cables. The reason for that seems to be clear, it's outputting the NTSC s-video signal over the rgb cables and it all ends up on the red channel.

And PAL gamecubes display both without problems?

I'm trying to get this right:
NTSC GCs can't output PAL video modes? You are NOT trying to get NTSC output from PAL games, because your tv only supports NTSC?

Well, when implementing the engine, i hope both (Ocarina only and Ocarina&debugger) code handlers will properly be implemented. At least to give the users the choice which cheat engine to use. Also i thought that Ocarina supports all kinds of AR codes, but AR doesn't support all Ocarina codes.

Re: Ocarina

You could do this after reading the fst, so you would know which codes relate to the fst and which not. If the 2-4 byte are always offsets, you don't need to look at the code tpye. I think it would be best if hackers would port the codes they create in Swiss to the offsets Gecko OS uses.

Re: Ocarina

I was afraid of the same thing, which is why i hesitated to activate Ocarina on backups in NeoGamma, but apparently it works well. At least codes that relate to the fst will be messed up, but shouldn't be a problem for hackers to port. NeoGamma takes 16KB from Arena1Hi btw. when loading backups with...
