Re: WASP questions

I have a few questions about the WASP modchip. I understand that it can be used in a GC with a MEGAdrive board adapter. 1. Will it play all titles including games with audio streaming? 2. Can I have a GC or Wii DVD drive and WASP together in my GC? If so what other parts do I need? 3. If I have a W...

ordered v3 boards managed to cut 10mm of the length not as much as I wanted, will see how it fits into the cube hopefully no hacking of the case this time round. video_v3.png God, I do think it was already small but if you would just put the HDMI at a right angle you could save space and not have e...

Re: Interesting find regarding GCVideo

I'm going to try reflowing the pins on the HDMI connector when I get home from work. I doubt it'll make any difference, but it can't hurt to try. I have pluto hooked up to my wasp gamecube and i don't have any problems with that setup. Like mega has stated the pluto has issues with quality control ...

I will post some pics of the board tonight. The jtag writing is on the back of PCB I'm trying to post the pictures but there to big. So I will post them tonight

Maybe you could make the pcb thicker because the IDE EXI I ordered last year from oshpark are thicker then your geckos

Re: Shuriken video v2 build with xc3s200a

what value are C7 and C8 ? it looks like 100nF, this is from my website Note: C7 should be 4.7uF and C8 should be 1uF both tantalum type caps to reduce noise. I would really recommend you use those values as they are stated in the datasheet for that vreg (1206 size should fit 16V will do). Ok i wil...

I said nothing about your skills on that ide-exi pcb...only pointing out a better way to JTAG using a no solder method stay away from q-tips or anything that will leave behind all those strands on the board try using a toothbrush...i prefer soft bristle... ...not the ones that have those massaging ...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable

watch out with all the solder splatter you have on the board, it could lead to a short somewhere if one of those blobs come loose... remember how your other board blew up? could have been from solder splatter falling and shorting PWR GND Also it might just be the camera angle with light and shadow ...

Here is my build of the gcvideo-lite. Came out ok I want to make it a little neater next time. It really is hard getting the caps and resistors to fit the FPGA and DAC are the easy part of this board.

Re: Wii Disc drive spoof. Need help Emu_kid/Mega/Ashen???

So I am busy with a tiny wii board cut. As of yet I have been able to cut it pretty small while still retaining all of it's functions. Also been able to power it off a custom regulator, 3.3v and 1.2v. See my facebook album for pics on the discovery. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.9383411...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable

Finally got around to building my own. Excited about installing in the rest of my cubes. Very nice I just built one lite version last night and it was hard soldering this thing. After comparing both DVI and analog version I can firmly say that picture quality is much better with the DVI/HDMI. I'm s...

Re: Yet another USB Gecko clone

A little word of warning to anyone who builds this or buys a Shuriken USB. Do not use geckoloader.exe it will erase your CLPD and your PCB will stop working. I learned this the hard way but thanks to streetwalker making his programming files pubic I was able to reflash the board. In case anyone is w...

I ripped the BCA's using a PC DVD-RW drive even, nothing special just good old DVDInfoPro. Also is it NTSC-U NSMB? I only have PAL. Yeah its a usa copy thanks though. My son and I wanted to play it together last night and I completely forgot about that BCA file the wode needs. Maybe if I burn it to...

Re: New super mario bros. BCA file for wode

Have you actually tried ripping it with cleanrip? The BCA is pretty huge compared to the microscopic pits and lands in the data area, the disc has to practically be snapped in half for it to be unreadable - it's even readable by scanning the disc with a flatbed scanner and running it through an ima...
