Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

I would like to say that my N64 budget RGB/HDMI project has turned out wonderful. The HD retrovision component cable is not being made at this time and ebay had one for 180 dollar yea no go there. So next I was looking at those clone OSSC boxes and bought an SCART cable for the N64 so I was going to...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

I will like to say that I ordered a clone of a OSSC - Frame Meister box’s and just plug the scart into that then convert it to HDMI instead I wanted to to if I could get it to work that was the point of this those hd Retrovision component cables are out of stock everywhere and so over priced it’s cr...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

Ok I'm going to have to correct you. Yea you can convert it since I already did it since no one said anything and the 4th is composite Csync then ground H-sync and Vsync its a PAL version of a VGA cable with composite and left and right sound I didn't write that it can't be done at all, but that it...

Re: UltraHDMI question

My bad If I took the Ultra HDMI for anothe N64 mod I've seen before, that just hooked to the analog signal. So there are many mods that make no sense. :D Many older consoles don't even have a DAC, and getting real digital data for display can be tricky, (when even possible), see the Atari 2600 mods...

Re: Component on DOL-101

The wii's video chip sucks ass thats the whole reason we are installing GCvideo's in wiis do you think people were just doing it for the hell of it. The Gamecube's video chip is twice as better as the wii's thats a fact ask anyone I spent over 100 hours doing my own mods with GCvideo and I can firml...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

No, you can't go straight from RGBs (where signal can goes through 4 wires) to YUV (where signal goes through 3 wires), you need at last some analog active chips. Don't cut the connector, find the female one to make an adapter to the display you want to connect to (BNC, sub-D HD15…), or buy a male ...

Re: UltraHDMI question

It’s not an analog signal It’s straight digital to digital That’s why you install it before it hits the video converter

Re: UltraHDMI question

To be fair My opinion on the ultra HDMI is that is highly overrated yes it’s very very cool and it has very cool options and it progresses in 1080P. But think about this I saw a new RGB board for the n64 and it also has a OSD and has digital sound and it’s 85 usd also I can install it myself. My big...

Never used or saw one of...

So it seems while I was away a closed sourced wiikey fusion came out called GCloader the only thing I would want this chip for is for audio streaming and is it possible to get it to work on the wasp/wiikey. It doesn’t look like there making anymore ether they should open source it if not that’s my o...

Re: Cube64/Not64 and SD2SP2

Extrems> We've seen with the SD2SP2 support that getting back to a long-sleeping project can be complicated. You're speaking of a complete rewrite for further improvements than only SD2SP2 support? Do you think that good quality emulation (as compatible and efficient as SNES or GBA) can be achieved...

I really can’t believe how fast sp2 is and gcloader also very cool. I’ve knew about hyperboot since 2014 surprised it’s taken so long to ...

You want to grab the .bit and .mcs file for programming. Impact should pick up the FPGA and spi if you have everything hooked up correctly and have the GameCube powered on. There is a light on the programmer that should be orange when the cube is off then should turn green when powered on Oh that ju...

Re: Led voltage question - how many?

As my post got deleted due to server change, I'll post a short version. The guide is wrong, and I am sorry. Please, use the controller board for led's. I have tested it and it works great. Why the guide is wrong, and why his led's haven't burnt out, I don't know. Sorry for the 2 year bump. what is ...
