Sp2sata
I been using my sd2sp2 for a few months now I have found myself never using my gecko anymore just for the fact that I get better speed using it especially when using ISO’s I only use it for games that my wasp fusion won’t play correctly because of audio streaming like crash bandicoot or tony hawks p...

Re: Can you keep your console alive forever?
Oh and you can ask the us government also they been using the same computers for 30 years sometimes more ( Y2K) and yes they are fixed now and again but we need to spend our tax money on more important things like walls that need to break the Guinness world record for biggest wall ever. But on a ser...

Re: Can you keep your console alive forever?
It's impossible. A lot of parts in consoles are proprietary and out of production (CPU and GPU are the biggest example of this). I wouldn't worry about the cube breaking anytime soon. The cube is a tank unlike the Ps3 first gen's and xbox360 first gen's which were made with lead-free solder at the ...

Re: Streetwalrus's first GameCube
Very nice I’m still using a yet another usb gecko I made when it first came out. But unfortunately mini dvd-r is gone and what you can find is ridiculously expensive 4 dollars a disc so sd gecko/sp2 will have to do but we really need a wasp/wiikey clone and no not the gcloader because 1 it’s scarcel...

Re: Flashing swiss to qoob pro chip
If these is the USB ports your talking about which is part of the viper gc case then no it won’t work as far as I can tell you I’ve never used them because I have a viper programmer so I never saw the point of them since well it’s a viper gc case not a qoob case and also the plug is different then t...

Re: Flashing swiss to qoob pro chip
hey i have a Qoob pro with the mini usb and the full sized usb and i'm also kind of looking for a guide on how to flash Swiss to the memory of the qoob pro. Is it just as simple as getting the flashing program and replacing the 1.3c firmware? No there is a small breakout board on the bottom of the ...

N64 GCvideo-DVI hybrid
For years I was mad at the fact that ultraHDMI was so much money and was hard to get, hard to install, and I really never trusted the flex pcb that was soldered to the RCP (long term) really mileage will depend on installer skill level. Then I saw these clone Gamecube to HDMI that where GCvideo's an...

Re: getting autoboot nowdays wkf
I never removed this mod but I found out that adding a switch was a good idea for muti-disc games so it still works to this day also this breaks the 64gb limit on the wasp fusion I found out years later I use an 128gb sandisk SD card in my Wasp works fine and it is because of this mod if I switch it...

How to load swiss to flash into viper without programmer
So after messing with my viper GC trying to install swiss to flash with my USB programmer which did work fine 3 years ago but for some reason I could not load anything into flash with 3 computers and I don't use windows anymore only linux and macOS. Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?
I would like to say that my N64 budget RGB/HDMI project has turned out wonderful. The HD retrovision component cable is not being made at this time and ebay had one for 180 dollar yea no go there. So next I was looking at those clone OSSC boxes and bought an SCART cable for the N64 so I was going to...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?
Ok I'm going to have to correct you. Yea you can convert it since I already did it since no one said anything and the 4th is composite Csync then ground H-sync and Vsync its a PAL version of a VGA cable with composite and left and right sound I didn't write that it can't be done at all, but that it...

Re: UltraHDMI question
My bad If I took the Ultra HDMI for anothe N64 mod I've seen before, that just hooked to the analog signal. So there are many mods that make no sense. :D Many older consoles don't even have a DAC, and getting real digital data for display can be tricky, (when even possible), see the Atari 2600 mods...

The wii's video chip sucks ass thats the whole reason we are installing GCvideo's in wiis do you think people were just doing it for the hell of it. The Gamecube's video chip is twice as better as the wii's thats a fact ask anyone I spent over 100 hours doing my own mods with GCvideo and I can firml...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?
No, you can't go straight from RGBs (where signal can goes through 4 wires) to YUV (where signal goes through 3 wires), you need at last some analog active chips. Don't cut the connector, find the female one to make an adapter to the display you want to connect to (BNC, sub-D HD15…), or buy a male ...

Re: UltraHDMI question
It’s not an analog signal It’s straight digital to digital That’s why you install it before it hits the video converter
