Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here

Game Soul Calibur II Region NTSC-U Medium SD Gecko Swiss version r377 Optional save file (.gci) n/a Old issues reapeared in r377. I've jumped from r366 to r377 directly not sure for the versions in between. The "border" on top and left (appears when battle starts). Screen jumps when battle...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

I did ground parallel pin 18 though. I just attached it to the GC chassis. Good to know still. Is it soldered? You don't use your hand to make connection, right? I don't know what the "chassis" means. Is it the metal shielding or ground edges around the motherboard? I wouldn't use the shi...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

The diagram you've found in my posts was for using the board only (not attached to GC). In your case don't put battery or other power source! Is JP1 the through hole pair of pads next to R4? Do I literally just short them, or should a capacitor or something be used? Yes, it is. Just short. Looks li...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

We've discussed the slow programming with happy_bunny but he never fixed the old app. If you can recompile it just make all "sleep" "Sleep" (read the last pages http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2810&start=175 ). Of course you need another file for xc3s...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

To check 1.2v regulator power on and measure GND and output . When you say "measure pin 1", are you referring to pin 1 on the FPGA? (marked in yellow), or Pin 1 on the GC Pin (in red)? Thanks. The red one and GND. If you have voltage (3.3v) it means that it's working. But you also may get ...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

Did you measure pin 1? Yes, you can put 3.3v and program without the gamecube. I can't see shorts or anything wrong on your pictures. May try pictures on different angle where you can see that it's connected to pcb. http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/download/file.php?id=2209 Also check 1.2v regulator...

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

I make close up photos of FPGA pins and HDMI connector for shorts and bad solder joints and it works. Definitely use flux for the small pitch.
I use wide tip like this for soldering and it's really easy.

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

INFO:iMPACT:188 - '1': Programming completed successfully. Unseen said that it may be programmed so what I'm saying is just to check if it's working. It won't hurt trying but be careful with ESD (touch something earthed I almost killed my GameCube once). 0. Disconnect JP1. 1. Desolder pin1 from GC....

Re: Program Shuriken Video V3 Please Help!

So are you saying that it could of been programmed correctly already ... You can easily tell if it's programmed or not. I've done this 3 times (with shuriken video and original firmware) and worked as expected. You only need GND and +3.3 (if have more wires don't remove them) after that get multi m...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

I have 15 old version downloaded from here (I may have even more on the older pc). If needed I can help for old versions archive. r256 is the oldest. r369 is up and should fix SD issues introduced earlier in r36X versions - it should also fix F-Zero GX. Fast check, I may miss something: Wario World ...

The same thing as Zelda TP, swapped red and blue colours happens in other games: Mario Kart DD (ntsc-u) r363, r364 (tested yesterday four times in a row). Zelda WW (ntsc-u) r366 (from today, once but I didn't try again). Forcing 480p is OK but selecting progressive scan from the game makes it happen...
