Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
So I guess the notification system that website uses is just broken beyond use? Missed not one but two rounds because it didn't send the notification to any of the multiple emails I set up for alerts to make sure I wouldn't miss it. The magento notification system is ran by a cron job and runs at 8...

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
Yes, max limit was 1 per person this time.
Not that many ordered two during the first sale though. We plan to always keep these available, but first production rounds always go slower, just how it is.

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
I think that is indeed currently the best solution. Especially the one that is soldered right on top of the connector's through-hole pins should be a fairly easy install. It seems that this board has its pinout mirrored though, as it is supposed to connect to the DVD FFC rather than the host FFC? Y...

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question
Great work @meneerbeer I've been thinking about this for the last few days. I like the plug in solution, but requires the user to desolder the dvd drive connector. I would at least keep the FFC connector the same. So people with existing mega drive setups etc, can simply just replace their wkf/wasp....

Re: Custom QSB for Wasp/WKF with DVD drive
Same result doing that. Edit: Re-flowed the QSB connected to DVD.. tested it connected direct with an FFC cable to the other QSB, and that worked. Bridged the lid switch pins on the QSB, and great success. Not sure if that was the issue all along, or if I actually needed to reflow it. If SD card is...

Re: Custom QSB for Wasp/WKF with DVD drive
Thank you for your answer. Have you got a tips to solder the WKF Host QSB? I tried, I find it's difficult. I find it easier to tin both the main board and the QSB first. The drag solder up using a very small tip. You the castelations need to be checked and cleaned up if necessary. Oshpark doesn't m...

Re: Mini Guide - How to install megalomaniac's MEGAudio board
opened source. So where are the CAD files? Are you asking for the files or trying to be a dick? Because I originally released this project on assembler and I think I posted the Gerbers there. But since assemblers have been down for 2 months and I made this board about 2 years ago I don't remember. ...

without creating an account there - can somebody tell me how much these are? and besides that - great job on that citrus! is the microsd board just an extension of the wiikey sd? :) All the boards and parts will be around 20 usd. I'm not sure what you mean by extension, but it replaces the big ugly...

Re: Custom QSB for Wasp/WKF with DVD drive
Never mind, by the picture is a normal ribbon cable and botton contact connector. heheh I'll need another ribbon cable to connect everything right? (the Wiikey comes with one) What's the approximate length of the cable I need to buy? It will take 1-2 months for my wiikey to arrive, and I want to ha...

I didn't think I'd need to decrypt anything.
The WKF firmware and menu are available for download. I figured I'd just flash the firmware But I guess that different from whats on the FPGA

Re: Custom QSB for Wasp/WKF with DVD drive
Any .5mm pitch 32 pin flex connector will do. Thanks bud! Found them easily on Ebay, and quite cheap too! Next step is finding the Wasp Fusion itself. Tried to find somewhere to buy it but couldn't, it's sold out everywhere! Does anyone know a place that still sells them? I was getting mine from he...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
How are you shielding your flex cable? Could you show a picture? I don't have a picture currently on me, I'm at work. But I'm using foil tape that is cut in a long strip wrapped around flex cable. I then wrap a layer of kapton around that, so nothing gets shorted on the main board. I looked into ge...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
The 54 Mhz clock from pin 2 may cause interference, but megalomaniac is pretty knowledgeable and has been developing for quite some time now. On top of that it is a known issue and I believe he said it was due to the manufacturings standard not being up to par...multiple times ao I doubt his design...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
This is just speculation, but I'm wondering if the flex cable is having interference/rfi issues. I use a flex cable in my design, and I ended up having to shield the cable. Without shielding perfect 480p was sporadic.

Custom QSB for Wasp/WKF with DVD drive
I have created a couple QSBs to help the ease of install a wasp while retaining dvd + audio stream support. Here are both QSB Installeds. My Wasp has firmware 1.0 so it has autoboot. This is why Pin29 is grounded. The lid switch is currently bridgde so the Wasp thinks the lid is closed. I will event...

Can I ask why you have wires soldered together for the JTAG connectons Ok thank you I will try that and see how it goes. You don't think anything is wrong with the programmer itself ...
