Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Should I dump my Max Play Vol 1 using this method? I like being able to rip and verify all the discs I buy, so I'd like to see all the discs dumped (including the ones I've already done verified by others), but this is one is especially interesting to me. My AGP disc that has the 10 Max Play games ...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Oh my God! You're right! I'm so SORRY!! I have so much dumps on my desktop and I also were confused! I sent you a wrong dump filled full size manually by me. Actually I had not tried your CleanRip full size dump because I though it was similar to the others I have and I only compared the data betwe...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
The 0x50000000 range is where most of my Datel discs have additional program data. Can you double check things? Private message sent.

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
According to the skip data it looks like it found additional data between 0x50000000 and 0x50100000 are you sure that data was all 0?

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
I tried all the PC's I've got around here and no one runs Dolphin =/ I even tried on a very good ESXI server, and none of my VM's runs Dolphin. I think the GPU's I have (phisical and virtual) doesn't meet the needs. Here is a link to my Full size ISO. Do you have a PC to test where Dolphin tries to...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
But what's the point if I cannot use the original disc in the drive to check what is accessed? If you use the iso in Dolphin (I recommend using the one created by the Datel modified Cleanrip so it's the right size), it will start loading the game and if any sections are missing, it will tell you wh...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Hi again! I have some good and bad news!!! 1- At first, I dumped the full disc following your instructions on a Wii. It took a while... The ISO is exactly the same I dumped with the normal cleanRip. The only difference is that this time it is full size (filled with zeros at the end). 2- I also trie...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Hi GreyRogue! Thanks for your reply! Can you send me the working version you are using on your wii? The version I have is exactly the same of emu_kidid's github, so I don't think I have the correct one. This is the ISO I dumped so you can check where could be the missing data sectors.: https://ufil...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Hi emu_kidid! You must be wondering why "this guy" wants do dump this obsolete disc! Because I'm crazy about all GC scene. I looked all over the internet for several months for this disc, and finally I got one from a German seller on a german site! It was missing on my collection! This di...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
I just added two more versions of Datel discs to my little database of discs: Advance Game Port USA (without the Cheat Construction Kit) Action Replay version unknown (I'm not sure how to tell, as it doesn't show a version number anywhere I can find). Action Replay Details: -Disc ID is DTLX01 (not G...

Re: PSO I&II Plus and Swiss Black Screen
I haven't dug specifically into what Swiss is doing with these games, but I did add support to Nintendont for these games. If I remember correctly, the issue is that these games use the 0x80001800-0x80002FFF range to decompress the prs file which is the compressed executable used. This is the same r...

Re: GBA Link Cable Dumper
Have you considered adapting this to work with the "advanced game port"? Unlike the GBP, the AVP is software based emulation, the hardware it comes with seems to dump the rom on some way to the GameCube before booting, it also read and writes the save to the cart. Being able to dump to sd...

Bomberman Generation v1.01 (USA)
I've been verifying my gamecube rips and I noticed one doesn't have an entry at redump.org (not counting my Datel discs). Not sure if anyone cares, but here are the details (can't figure out any way to post there): Bomberman Generation Serial DL-DOL-GBGE-USA Version 1.01 Size 1459978240 CRC-32 14CA1...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
It would probably need some game specific patches to run with Swiss to handle the disc interface, as it doesn't use the Nintendo SDK. Here are my notes in case it helps. These are the functions I found that I needed to modify to get it to work. (Memory locations for first dol load (0x80003100), and ...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Alright. I got Nintendont working with the Datel AGP disc again (mostly anyway). This version will report all of the reads it does on the disc (make sure Log is on in the settings). It lists the starting offset, length, and memory location where the data is copied to. This can be used to generate a ...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Well, that was unexpected. I decided to try and use the ~1300 retry setting. Both of my discs took about 3 hours each to rip and gave the DVD drive a bit of a work out. When done, the Action Replay disc was the same as the ones that only did 6 or 88 retries, with the addition of the 0xA8 section men...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
Also, current Nintendont does work well enough to read all of my Action Replay disc (but not my AGP disc). Putting this line back in uncommented in DI.c should generate the offsets/lengths needed for those discs that get far enough (might be almost of them): //dbgprintf( "DIP:DVDReadA8( 0x%08x,...

Re: Dumping Datel unlicensed discs?
I did find my old dump as you run code, but it has issues. As expected, changes to the Nintendont code base have broken it, so I'd have to refix it to work with current. Even if I fixed it however, I only ever got it to work partially. My Action Replay works enough to dump the whole thing, but the A...

I had been too laz---I mean too busy to finish this for a long time now. Re: XenoGC and Panasonic Q
If you just want something to dump the IPL to SDGecko, the patch I provided should work (quickly and poorly written, intended only for one-time use; I'm sure Streetwalker could do this in a better manner). Here's the issue tracker with the patch: https://code.google.com/p/swiss-gc/issues/detail?id=1...

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (GCN/Code/NTSC-U)
This is my Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Tournament Code Generator (USA). Warning, for some attributes, the code isn't cleaned correctly if you back out of it. For example, if you select a code that uses back tees, but then cancel out and try to use a front tee code it won't change to front tees. The v...

Re: Datel AGP information
So, I bought a few used gameboy games just for fun. Unfortunately, it looks like I can't control the MBC (memory bank controller). I tried with both Cmd 7 and Cmd 6 (used Address = (0x2100 | (MemBank<<16)) and Val = 0x2100 to try to outsmart it). Neither of these methods appeared to work I don't kno...

Re: Datel AGP information
I just noticed that these two videos show different versions of the AGP disc. The one I have has the construction kit and looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCc5EHj8_bw (skip ahead to 1:15 to see the first menu). He doesn't show the built in games (press left and right when prompted to...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
As I said, it can be built with old code. As long as you're only using it to dump the IPL, this should probably work. I think I found the copy I used a year ago. Use at your own risk.
