Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

Random thought - the_randomizer, you wouldn't happen to be mudlord would you? Hell no. I live in the US, not Australia or the UK. If you're wondering about my negative posts, I'll be glad to full you in. For started, emukidid says he's going to release the emulator by X date but at the last second ...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

I use the (U) [!] version although it sometimes stutters and has the shadow glitch. It is playable, but not smooth all times. BTW, know that there is a Pilotwings 64 inject wad out there, keep an eye out for it Pilotwings 64 injected. This is the one i got but they have a problem with the Audio. It...

The game uses custom microcode and is very difficult to emulate. PJ64 does it, but only with the right plugin.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

Very nice! Good to know. Of course games like RE2 64, World Driver Championship, Indiana Jones and Battle for Nabοο are too much to ask from Wii64 when even PC emulation struggles with them. Would it be reasonable to expect some games to now work from the list below: 007 TWINE , Castlevanias, Turok...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

Cycle accurate N64 emulation is nearly impossible with the CPU/RSP etc being two separate entities Funny you should mention that... http://www.emutalk.net/threads/54131-Announcement-Cycle-accurate-N64-development-underway But the cost of performance would be disastrous; you'd end up with another em...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

BattleTanx - Global Assault (E) Yeah... I'm using (U) because I wanted to be able to use my memory card save dump from my actual N64...unless memory card saves work across regions. BRB, gotta try that. Also, about game compatibility, no single N64 emulator to date correctly runs World Driver Champi...

Does the NAND need to be initialized every time it boots up or can a pagefile be created so you don't have to wait for the NAND process? At least I think Disorarara said that.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

Don't turn on your Wii, you'll wear out the NAND. How does just turning on your Wii write anything to the NAND? Anyway, I'm somewhat confused about what this new function does. Does it load large roms into the NAND due to a lack of RAM on the Wii? Don't ask him that, you'll only piss him off. ;)

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

Don't turn on your Wii, you'll wear out the NAND. what about the ladder climbing bug; if it works in interpreter, is that bug really that hard to fix in dynamic recompiler mode? I could fix it, by dropping the floating-point unavailable speed hack. And now for something completely different. And si...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification

The newest version uses NAND as a means for virtual memory for a performance boost, as I just found out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since NAND has a limited no. of reads and writes, this will only serve to wear out the limited no. of read/write times that much faster, would it not?. Is there a per...
