Re: Yet another USB Gecko clone
I am trying to make myself an USB Gecko using your open source clone. I assembled it and I flashed first the FT245R and then the CPLD. I think both flashing were successful, but I can't seem to get it to work. I tried to use it both on Mac and on Windows. On Mac I see it as "/dev/tty.usbserial-...

Re: [WIP] Custom GC Controller
This is very cool to say the least. The only option we have for something like this is minigc which is very cool but required to desolder a official GameCube controller and solder every component on a bare PCB. This is extremely simple only 1 IC no resistors, filters, and capacitors. Will this be o...

Do you plan to only do the chip or make a custom controller case and cable as well?

[WIP] Custom GC Controller
http://i.imgur.com/llpreh1.jpg Hello. This is a project on which I've been working for the past few weeks. It is a custom GC controller (no Nintendo components have been used). I've implemented the whole protocol, but I've also included a couple of special features. First of all it can handle perfe...

Aurelio, try using the auto adjust on your screen while in the swiss menu. Check out this thread too http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=10690 If that doesn't fix it, I had some problems with the voltage from the regulator going to the gpu being too low. Sorry, I didn't notice your ...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Thank you again for helping me. I will try filtering the RGB signals with those caps :) In the meanwhile I've also bought a 5" Dalian Good Display which is confirmed to be working with your board by many people. Right now I've a 5.6" Dalian LCD that uses a different board, so maybe it will...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Sorry if I post again. I've a "theory" about my issue. Both my LCD and my TV don't seem to handle 480i, while they show 480p but with those lines. Is it possible that since they can't handle 480i a slight difference in the timings (front/back porch?) can cause those lines? Maybe a LCD capa...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
I've tried to rewire again everything using different wires, but nothing changed. I'm going to try to assemble a new gcvideo lite. Do you have any idea if it could be some particular component causing this issue?
Thanks

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Thank you a lot. I've connected the gcvideo Lite to my TV and I have the same issue. I guess that it could be some wiring issue. I will rewire everything and test it again.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
I checked vsync and hsync pulses and I get durations of ~190 us and ~2.4 us (respectively), which are not standard. Are you sure about the 190 microseconds? IIRC the 480p output of the Gamecube was close to if not spot-on to the CEA timings, but 190 microseconds would be a VSync length of 7.125 lin...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Hello, I've a problem with VGA output. I don't know why, but I see some odd vertical lines on the image. I'm displaying it on a Dalian Good Display 5.6" using 480p. I've uploaded them here: http://imgur.com/a/BMs3I Could it be related to some timing issues? I checked vsync and hsync pulses and ...

Re: Autoboot every time even without SD card (Confirmed!)
Fair enough. I'm waiting for my Megadrive V5 to arrive, heh, a lot of rhyming there. I will give it a go once it turns up. BTW, as a side note, could I possibly have damaged my wiikey fusion by accidentally wiring 3.3v instead of 1.9v to pin 29? pin29 goes to ground never to 3.3 or 1.9 volts Really...

Re: Swiss stuck on "Init Wiikey Fusion"
power on the GC, wait for initialization to freeze... then turn off and turn on again in a second... that should allow initialization to continue.. if you reboot to fast the WASP will not load initial iso... it takes a bit of timing to get use to the process but if that works let me know... OMG! I ...

Swiss stuck on "Init Wiikey Fusion"
Hello, this is my first post on this board, my name is Aurelio :) I've just installed a WASP on my PAL GameCube. I got it from Bad Ass Consoles, so it came with preinstalled Swiss 0.3 rev 275 (I bought it almost a year ago, but just now I had a little bit of free time). The problem is that when I tu...
