Editing ISO's?
Hey guys, So I got to thinking today. Let's say I have a game, for example, Mario Kart. Would it be possibly for me to download an ISO for the game, modify the code and textures (such as changing the color of a pickup item or something along those lines, etc), then re-save that same ISO, and either ...

Re: Returning to the GC
Welcome back to the wonderful world of the GameCube. I just recently bought one for the first time in a long time myself, and I plan on cherishing this baby. Like you said, gotta' relive the better days.
See you 'round the forum mate.

Can you keep your console alive forever?
G'day mates, So I got to thinking today: is it possible to keep your console alive forever? Years and years from now, there's going to come a point where your GameCube (or any other console for that matter) is going to eventually die. My question is, do you think it's possible to keep it going forev...

Re: How do I learn to do this?
I appreciate your insight, each of you. I think I'm going to start off learning how to solder, as was suggested. This is probably the most immediately useful and acquirable ability, so it seems like a good place to begin. Do any of you have any recommendations for where I can learn to do this? When ...

How do I learn to do this?
This is a rather vague and perhaps out-of-place question, but I'd really like some help in the matter... How do I learn to do all of this programming, hacking, modification kind of stuff? I have a huge wealth of knowledge in regards to consoles, games, history, networking... But I just don't underst...

Re: Why do you love the GameCube?
Great post, it warmed up the nostalgia factor of the cube for me once again. For me, it's a two sided love for the GameCube. There's the games side of things, and the homebrew aspect. I can remember back quite fondly to many Saturday mornings and high school holidays playing Metroid Prime, Windwake...

Why do you love the GameCube?
Let's face it, the GameCube is as niche as it gets. Even the Sega Saturn and Turbo-Grafx have a larger fan following, and both of these consoles sold about half as many units as the GameCube... Combined. With the advent of the backwards compatible Wii, porting of the system's most popular games (lik...

Re: Reccomend me GC games to play!
If you like RPG's, specially multiplayer RPG's, I highly, highly recommend Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Probably one of the most fun and gorgeous games on the cube, and it plays like a something akin to Diablo (which is a very good thing). It also has 2 player co-op, cheat codes, tons of armors and...

Max Media Player?
Hey guys, I was browsing over the wikipedia article on the GameCube and noticed a third party item listed as the "MAX Media Player", apparently this is some kind of kit that allows you to rip movies/music to an SD card and then run them from the GameCube. Does anyone know if this actually ...

New member here!
Hey there guys, I think I use to have an account for a short time on here, many years and years ago, but life kind of got in the way and now, after some lurking, I've made another account! So yeah, basically a new member right here, heh. I have a passion for the Gamecube. I love everything about it-...
