In Wii many games get the locale information from the Wii setting. In the english Gamecube manual I didn't find any language setting,
Maybe is a region problem?
I suggested in the italian forum to use SRAM modifier and they told me that it works!

Re: Swiss feature requests
Some people wrote in an italian forum that the game they own has italian language but if they start it with Swiss they get only english. That problem was present in the older SDboot too. They are sure that the game has italian because they tested it on Dolphin, where you can set the console language...

Re: Swiss not loading backups with Wii DVD drive?
Maybe it depends on DVD drive type.
Starting from August 2009 Nontendo mounted the D3-2 version of DVD drive wich implement protection also in DVD firmware (like on the Xbox). In this case you can't run any DVD backup.
Here you can find some photos to identify it.

Re: Gamecube Memory Cards question
What are the differences between memory card and SDgecko?
The communication protocol? Inside an SD there is a controller and not inside a memory card?
It is possible for a PC to read a memory card?

Re: SD-boot tutorial for Wii
I tested it some months ago with HBC 1.0.6. You can find other post about this issue, also in this forum. If you coinfirm that now HBC 1.0.8 is able to start SDboot (I know that it is able to start other homebrew from SDgecko) without freezing I am very happy, so this tutorial can be more simple sin...

Re: SD-boot tutorial for Wii
I experienced that HBC doesn't start SDboot well (it freezes) so you have to use Gamecube Homebrew Launcher, like written in the tutorial. GHL launches the start.dol that is on the front SD and not in SDgecko.

Re: SD-boot tutorial for Wii
Wonderful Tutorial!
Just add two tricks
1) SD-Boot doesn't work in 480p (you get a black screen), you must use the other interlaced modes. Next version will use 480p
2) You need an original disk but I found that it can be also a Wii original disk. I used Wii Fit

Re: If SD-Boot freezes at launch, maybe a solution.
I obviously made a mistake. Neogamma is ok the responsible is Homebrew Channel 0.6 that isn't able to launch this homebrew correctly.
Sorry WiiPower, I made a mistake with your great Neogamma that instead is ok. Sorry again.

If SD-Boot freezes at launch, maybe a solution.
I havo found many posts about SDboot freeze at launch here and in other forums. I had the same problem and, for me, I found that the responsible was Neogamma that I used to launch it, an older version. I resolved using Gamecube Homebrew Launcher and now it works. I don't know if it now works with ne...
