[request]: Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution NTSC USA

One of my favorite games, Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution has a few cheats listed here but these are only for the PAL version of the game. I'd love to be able to play my imported American version in widescreen. Is there something special about this version causing there to not ...

Re: Best Joystick replica?

the smash community really seems to like picking up on pro controller and nunchuck caps, they have the same quality feel and nothing else quite comes close. for me, i've ordered some cheap replacements from china and they work alright, def. wear down a lot quicker though.

Re: VBA-GX SD2SP2 Support

I've had a go, but a lot seems to have changed in devkitpro since the last release of vba-gx, and i have not been able to get it to build as of yet. maybe someone with more experience with devkitpro can give it 30 minutes of their time :( my free time currently is consumed getting the official compi...

Re: PSO Ep. I & II (GC): Red Ring Rico

Hmm... my "Play as Rico" code is working fine. Anyway, you must always create a new character with the activated Rico code, my "Play as NPC" codes are not able to transform an already existing character into a NPC. this is the same as it was in the old days, you need to make a new character. Used t...

would you mind releasing the source code? regardless of its quality, it'd be useful and prevent the reinventing of a couple of wheels :)

Debugging homebrew in 2020

I've been doing some development for my little cube again lately, but i'm running more and more into the fact that i need to do debugging to be able to progress. In my PSO AR code making days back in ~2005 i used to use GCNRD over the BBA and was able to step through code with it. Now i've noticed s...

Welcome! you'll be able to find plenty of information on the forum, but also check out the wiki. Additionally, you could also ask about anything you can't find otherwise since there's a bunch of knowledgeable people on here.
Enjoy your stay, and greetings from the Netherlands

Re: great big circles

This is sad but I kind of understand, lots of the mini dvds don't work well with the gamecube even with laser tweaks unless you go over the safe limits (my first batch was awesome I have a few games that work on vanilla cubes, but later ones with white labels have only caused me headaches) Also the ...

ODE replacement availability

Sup people! My interest in the gamecube and developing for it has recently been reignited and I was reading up on the developments in the past 4 years since I last played around with it. I've noticed there are new ODEs and a way to use as cards from the sp2 port. But I've been keeping an eye on the ...

LibOGC network example help

Hi all, I thought i'd try and get some networking code up and running on my cube, but the devkitpro example that's supposed to show how to use it just throws exceptions on my cube. does anyone have experience with the gamecube networking code here? It would be great if someone could produce a minima...

GCARS-CS comes to mind, it's a software solution and only supports a handful of games, but everything is documented so its possible to add more.

Thanks for the awesome work man! I used to make AR codes back in the day so i know it can be entertaining ^_^ I assume you don't have NTSC Phantasy Star Online Episode III since there aren't any codes for that version. I can ship one to you, provided you ship it back since it was expensive to import...

Gamecube Graphics Library options

So I've been trying my hand at getting some gamedev going in my spare time, but I'm finding that there isn't much in terms of graphics libraries. 2D or 3D. Almost everything is Wii only, which makes sense but is frustrating. I first started hacking up swiss' drawing routines, but had issues with the...

Does the gamecube support Dual-layer DVDs?

I was looking at some mini dvds and noticed there are more dual layer ones available now. So has anyone tried, or does anyone know if the hardware is capable of reading these when only a single layer is used. Or when both are used for homebrew purposes for example? I had an opportunity to pick up so...

USBGecko via Serial port 2 possible?

I was just looking at the pins for the memory card and serial port 2 and it occurred to me that it might be possible to have an usbgecko interface with the cube via that port, similar to the official usb port accessory on TDEVs. I was wondering if swiss would support such a thing (the official one a...

Swiss definitely supports fragmentation. i'm consistently having issues with it, and it is always fixed after a format :? Thanks emu_kidd. And I've tried formatting.
