LibOGC network example help

Hi all, I thought i'd try and get some networking code up and running on my cube, but the devkitpro example that's supposed to show how to use it just throws exceptions on my cube. does anyone have experience with the gamecube networking code here? It would be great if someone could produce a minima...

GCARS-CS comes to mind, it's a software solution and only supports a handful of games, but everything is documented so its possible to add more.

Re: AR codes - quick reference

Thanks for the awesome work man! I used to make AR codes back in the day so i know it can be entertaining ^_^ I assume you don't have NTSC Phantasy Star Online Episode III since there aren't any codes for that version. I can ship one to you, provided you ship it back since it was expensive to import...

You can't rip with cleanrip if you've got a modchip. Also I highly recommend you try the lenses. I've ordered one as well and I didn't work. Got refunded immediately after contacting seller. If these do work then id be interested to know the exact seller

Gamecube Graphics Library options

So I've been trying my hand at getting some gamedev going in my spare time, but I'm finding that there isn't much in terms of graphics libraries. 2D or 3D. Almost everything is Wii only, which makes sense but is frustrating. I first started hacking up swiss' drawing routines, but had issues with the...

Does the gamecube support Dual-layer DVDs?

I was looking at some mini dvds and noticed there are more dual layer ones available now. So has anyone tried, or does anyone know if the hardware is capable of reading these when only a single layer is used. Or when both are used for homebrew purposes for example? I had an opportunity to pick up so...

USBGecko via Serial port 2 possible?

I was just looking at the pins for the memory card and serial port 2 and it occurred to me that it might be possible to have an usbgecko interface with the cube via that port, similar to the official usb port accessory on TDEVs. I was wondering if swiss would support such a thing (the official one a...

Re: Boot Swiss from disc on unmodded console?

i've been able to boot a burned copy of F-Zero GX, which i burned to a Sony 8cm DVD-R using Imgburn from within bootcamp, everything i've burned in other apps so far for some reason has reading issues, though using the OS to burn directly does seem to work in my initial testing (right click the iso ...

Re: SD Media Card Launcher and Swiss

Swiss definitely supports fragmentation. i'm consistently having issues with it, and it is always fixed after a format :? Thanks emu_kidd. And I've tried formatting. I'm using a transcend 2gb SD card. What is the best card brand to use for this? Also do I have to use a 2gb? Or does something higher...

Re: SD Media Card Launcher and Swiss

Also try moving all files off the ad card, formatting it, and putting them back. Swiss doesn't like file system fragmentation and can behave unusual if your SD card is fragmented.

Re: Hello Everyone!

welcome! yeah in terms of modchips, there isnt much left but xenogc. Re: Gotten my hope back, but still suffering xenogc n media prob

Going below 150.. If that is required then I would replace the laser/lens since it means it would be hearing the end of its life.. You probably just need to tweak the pot a little more. I havent tried verbatim but interestingly my cube can read sony ones at 400 (my starting pot value). Also there is...

I would be interested in this as well. Its about modding dol files so that they permanently have widescreen hacks applied, right? Re: Average going price of Pearl hardware?

Pearl is a japan/europe only model I believe. They are extremely common here and go for the same amount as the purple and black ones (in europe) of course, much like the Japanese who noticed demand and started exporting the spice orange models at a premium, the same has happened with the pearl white...

Re: Is Ridata Mini DVD-R 4X Media good for burning?

Actually I wouldnt do that if I were you. Back in the xp days burners would often have buffering issues which would cause bad burns. This is part of the reason for the 1x burn recommendation for cube games which stems from that era. Modern burners/computers do not have these problems due to more ram...
