Re: libogc2 networking functionality
EXTREME IS TO BE MODEST. together with the The NGC picoboot GUYS opened a new data lan line through serial port 2. This really fulfills the purposes of serial port 2.!!! ETH2GC is the new data path on NGC. Developing a browser for NGC would be a benefit to the NGC community; which lacks w...

Re: Question about Memcard Pro
i have a memcard pro for the gamecube. can't say for sure about ps2 memorycard quality but i have had a variety of cards and some 3rd party ones did corrupt. Surprisingly some knock-off cards that look like the official thing turned out to be such a good clone that they might as well be a legit nint...

Re: F-Zero GX/AX Custom Stages
wow man, that's amazing. F-Zero GX was def one of my fav GC games back in the day, and it's still up there for me now. Some of those custom stages are insane! great job on those. I assume you need to use existing textures, or can you add new ones? How does the texture mapping work? unity probably is...

Re: Enabling progressive mode via Action Replay
the gamecube analog output simply cannot do it. you need to use a component cable or hdmi solution, then you can use 480p. the gamecube is not a PS2, its different hardware. it's as simple as that. Has nothing to do with codes or software. It's a hardware thing.

libogc2 networking functionality
I've more or less started looking into libogc2 recently and it looks like it supports a few more networking apis than the original. i noticed for tinysmb it seems to have some dns lookup functionality, but i couldnt find much in terms of documentation. i'm looking to build an http client for the gam...

Re: Debugging homebrew in 2020
sorry for not getting back earlier. my time with gamecube dev is very inconsistent. I've noticed webhdx sometimes seems to make usb-c shuriken hardware in small batches and have asked him if/when another batch will show up. I'll also try the bba method but since i am trying to develop some DNS and i...

Re: Trouble Launching Homebrew
I own two WiiSDs and it looks like both of them hang. I just tried formatting a micro 2gb SD card and got nothing. Is there a file or something I'm missing so the AR disc can communicate properly with the SD card? I assumed at first that the hanging was due to the software looking for specific file...

carby clones are on sale on aliexpress now for about 42 eur, almost the price of a GCPlug i'd grab one of those while the deal lasts, they usually go for around 60 on ali, or 70 on amazon

how old is this emulator? we might be able to rip out the wii specific bits and make it run on the gamecube. the newer the code is the easier this is to do.

Re: Format when using GC-loader (FAT32 or exFAT)
i believe i am using exfat for compatability with my macs and the ability to use the card for storing other files as well. i've only done a default format (on my mac) and used it ever since.

Re: PSO studder with GC loader
generic memory cards are readily available and cheap, so that's probably the easiest fix. you can move your save to another memory card these days with gcmm or even swiss itself. i assume swiss will allow transfer of sd saves to a real memory card

Re: CMake compatible project
no, and it's a pain in the ass! Generally the whole devkitppc toolchain has been a pain. lots of older software cannot be recompiled without extensive modification, and documentation and guidance on how to upgrade projects or what has been changed and why, isnt readily available. maybe if you hang o...

Re: Uncovered Oficial Nintendo Gamecube Portable*
this is definitely prototyping for the wii, there are also versions of metroid prime 3 for this hardware. in terms of a gc mini, i think it would be more beneficial if they add it to the eshop as downloads, thats probably what the super mario collection is. emulating NGC on the switch is likely not ...

Re: Help compiling Genesis Plux GX to SD2SP2 use
Yeah sorry, it was literally a quick hack on the master branch to get things building. It was on my work notebook and I've since switched jobs. I'm short on time but really, it's not hard for anyone with devkitcpp and c++ knowledge to get it up and running. Or make a PR for the original source for t...

you'll need gcncrypt to encrypt them to AR codes those are in raw format. i believe swiss can use them as-is

sorry for not providing anything constructive but why would you ship something so valuable/fragile and not take it in person instead, considering how roughly shipments are usually handled?

Re: What about offbrand/unbranded Memory Cards?
I own this card, it works fine but I would recommend to not get one. The paging doesn't work well while a game is running causing situations where your save is on page 2 but the card is on page 1 and no way to get to it other than to restart the gamecube.. That night be fine, unless you use Swiss fo...

Re: Can a sd2sp2 be used as memory card?
on a technical level it might be possible but considering the amount of effort to make such a thing work, and how few people would actually benefit, i'm not sure we should wait for this to arrive any time soon. Oh yeah and sp2 is more or less memory card slot 3, not much different at all, so if a vi...
