Re: Emulators for Gamecube 240p

Swiss doesn't give the option because Swiss doesn't support patching homebrew software, nor are they telling Swiss about it. The following emulators have a 240p option: Enhanced mGBA (by command-line argument) FCE Ultra GX Genesis Plus GX Not64 (by command-line argument or configuration file) RetroA...

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question

I've openly inquired on whether you could develop an interface via the port the GBA Player uses, as it would be quite a bit faster than anything BUT this direct drive interface. External Interface: 3.375 MB/s Disc Interface: ~20 MB/s SDRAM Interface (Game Boy Player): 81 MB/s Note that using it wou...

That's not what they're asking. They're asking about the default browsing device.

Re: Game Boy Interface

Because it doesn't natively support SD cards. You need to use an exploit.

Follow these instructions (SDload can be replaced with Swiss), or find the later version with SD Media Launcher functionality.

Re: Game Boy Interface

It has to be in the standard GC/Wii TPL texture format, with premultiplied alpha.

If using the standard edition with --output-gamma=2.2 (default), or the speedrunning edition with --gamma=2.2, it also has to be in linear RGB rather than sRGB.

Not64 could use N64 accessories with controller type set to N64 for a couple years now, but it's not yet supported for UI navigation.

Re: Game Boy Interface

It's an overlay, not a border. It can be scaled arbitrarily, but the automatic scaling should work well enough.

There are too many issues with doing that, but nothing stops you from trying it. Use the overlay feature.

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question

The entire set (America + Europe + Japan + Korea, all revisions) could fit on a 2 TB SD card when shrunk with NKit.

If you want unlimited storage, use the Broadband Adapter.

Re: Can anyone help a newbie out??

I’m using a bootable Swiss disk, Xeno chip, and an SD Gecko which came bundled in deal I bought online. On the SD card there’s a folder named swiss_patches with a ton of files that make zero sense to me. Do I need this folder? These are patched fragments for each game's disc image. You don't need i...

RE0 may not benefit much from the recent read patch improvements, as it is a two disc game and the alternate read patches don't already support that in the r685 release.
? It is supported.

Are you absolutely sure you've enabled "Alternate Read Patches" under "Advanced Settings"? Your improvement over r451 is likely unrelated.

Re: Game Boy Interface

960i won't look as good in GBI due to various limitations (although GBISR is cheating). GBIHF is unsuitable for your use case.

In your situation, you should use either 480p or 960i. Try the GBISR preset for the GCHD for 960i.

You're using GCVideo. That's what you're doing wrong.

There's no point to using 240p with line doubling regardless.

Re: Need PAL GameCube to force 576p?

The embedded framebuffer maxes out at 640x528. That's why you don't see any higher. Some homebrew (Game Boy Interface Standard Edition) gets around that with tiled rendering. The Xbox 360 has a similar limitation and solution. I'd assumed that swiss would automatically changed to 50Hz It does automa...

Re: Game Boy Interface

From your post on the shmups forum, I think you meant the GBIHF preset for the OSSC. That's set to output 360p60 (total is 600x375 or 1200x375).
