I have one 128MB 3rd party (no-name) one from aliexpress and it works fine.
Back to the topic, they should be safe but really, I wouldn't risk. It's better to buy few 64/128MBs so You can have a backup. And yeah, the casing is awesome.

Hi! Today I bought 2 models of Game Boy Advance e-Reader: AGB-010 (normal) and AGB-014 (plus). Both are japanesse.
