Re: GBA Link Cable Dumper

Even if, you would need to buy an adapter which is most likely more expensive than just getting that gba<->gamecube cable.

Well, you could keep the gamecube on "ON" and use a remote control power plug.

Re: Question for using homebrew on Gamecube

Hello, I want to use homebrew on my Gamecube and I have already action replay (newest version). Can I use the disc and only buy a SD adaptor to use homebrew instead of buying the SD Media Launcher? Yes, you can. Name swiss or any other homebrew autoexec.dol, put it on the SD and Action Replay will ...

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

Couple that with solid state media and you will have a completely silent GameCube that isn't an eye sore. You mean an "ear sore"? Exactly that! That was also somewhat of a problem with the new fan even though it was less noisy, it had that awkward kind of coil whine where you would defini...

Re: New full sized DVD shells for GameCube?

Why would someone put an SSD into a cube? Flash is already fast enough and I'm sure the cubes cpu nor the other hardware is capable enough to make use of the speed an SSD can offer. I was looking for such cases the last years and every time I found them on ebay or somewhere else they were super expe...

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

You should be able to use any aftermarket CPU heatsink with heatpipes, the problem is placing a heat spreader between the heatsink and the CPU and GPU. You can get away with tiny heatsinks on the RAM. I think something made for threadripper might give you the most chances of success, something like...

Re: Gamecube Memory Card Slot A Not Working

Can the Gamecube Main menu detect something or does it ignore any memory card you insert? If you got your cube from a commercial seller, I would try to get it replaced or something in this way. If that's not possible, then you could open up the cube and check if the slot has some kind of defect (bro...

Well, you could try a replacement power supply for your cube. If that doesn't help either, you probably burned your cube (or at least the power board).

Re: gc-linux on Wii: fixing display and SDHC issues

As I do not have the GameCube it means I cannot test my fork on it, however I will not voluntarily break support for the GC. If someone (or more) could test it on GC, that'd be great! I am actually kinda looking for someone that will test it regularly there too. It would be nice if we can get it to...

Also older version of programs who run on the old OS versions might have exploits or other bugs.

On another note. Is this topic only about the wii linux?

Nice, didn't knew they updated their site again. Last time I checked they were out of stock. So freeloader would be the way for japanese Cubes if I'm lucky to get the correct version?

Re: Is another Gamecube/Wii REALLY required for setting up an exploit?

Yes, if that is the case then you are, emu_kidid. I paid at around 44€ for my wii + wii remote and nunchuk + cables. I still think Wii is the easiest option to get homebrew on your gamecube. Try to find an action replay disc for cube somewhere and for the region you need. (It's great if they have US...

Well, I softmodded my wii using the Super Smash Bros Brawl exploit. I only needed the game and the save. Then you can copy stuff with GCMM.

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

So, this FTP device is a client to connect to a server (or could we actually get an FTP server on the cube :O)?

Aside that: how do I set this thing up? That there is no option in the config dialog is written on the github, but there is nothing in the config file or an information online how to.

Re: Please translate this Japanese Gamecube error

It is hard to decipher the symbols. That's what I got with trying to rewrite that in google translate: "I did not turn on the disc. For details, Please knead your dealing handbook." Seems like a disc reading issue. Does it always play after reset? edit: Probably this error message: https:/...

Hmm ... with the version 387 I get random hungups navigating the SD card. I don't know if it freezes or just doesn't respond to controls anymore.
With version 382 it works without issues.

Yes, the Action Replay discs. The cube boots up with the disc and if there is an autoexec.dol file on the SD Gecko it will automatically load this file.

If one would like to use a network adapter or modem maybe. But for any other normal person wanting to play some games .. dunno. Couldn't you just remove the sd from that position and queeze it into serial port 2?

Is it actually this difficult to write someone i know? Besides that: Well, does the gamecube play original game discs? If yes, no, the person wasn't really ripped of for me. This person has now a cube which can do more than a normal one does. And if the person likes the lights on the cube, it...
