Re: Qoob Chip
iplboot r5.2(Jun 16, 2018) is the last compiled version. but if the version in the image works for you use that. the current version of the code for IPLboot with SD2SP2 support can't fit into the qoob SX chip. i would say put swiss on a disc and boot using that. any new versions can be put on an sd...
Re: Qoob Chip
Man this place seems to be jumping compared to a while back...
So does anyone have a ready made iso file with the latest qoobSX iplboot on it so I can just download that, burn it, and pop it into my gamecube and update to IPLboot?
I saw the post by toxic9 but is that actually the latest version?

Re: Qoob Chip
I haven't pulled my gamecube out to try this just yet, but a quick question, is there a way to change the Qoob background on the SX or is that only the Pro?
Re: Qoob Chip
I just want to thank everyone for making this possible! That is awesome!
Re: Qoob Chip
I'm glad to see this thread hasn't died, great to see more info on it. Hoping to someday see more about the QoobSX being able to run iplboot but I know the interest has severely declined. I still have yet to find a Qoob Pro chip, though someone is selling a GC modded with one for an outrageous $500 ...

Re: Gamecube Modchip options in 2017
This recent post might help. One thing I'm not sure about, is if there's a mod to make wii drives read DVD-R discs when used on a gamecube. The obvious problem is the chassis. Has anybody made a Gamecube shell big enough to fit a wii drive and look good? It's also possible with modification to use ...
Re: Qoob Chip
I'm glad to see this is still going on.
Streetwalker and emu_kidid if there's anything I can do to help please let me know.emu_kidid wrote:I have a QoobSX GC running GCOS 1.5 or something ancient I'll happily try it on.
Re: Qoob Chip
You don't need the Qoob IPL at all, Swiss already does everything it does. I got the lz version to fit in the 64KB limit, and I more or less know how to make a flashable upgrade for it but I haven't put a test together yet. Ah, cool, that's exactly what I'm looking for then, I didn't want to remove...
Re: Qoob Chip
Well, the good new is, the RTC is fixed, thanks to Extrems for pointing me in the right direction. The bad news is, only half of the already tiny SX flash can be used, as the other half is used as a recovery IPL. I'll have to try harder if I want to make it fit. Or figure out how to use the entire ...
Re: Qoob Chip
I've posted binaries here , in the "releases" tab. Still no Qoob SX support, as I'm trying to figure out the alignment of its scrambling, and emu_kidid wasn't able to provide me with a dump yet. Thank you for everything you've done! One question, will this remove the standard Qoob menu th...
Re: Qoob Chip
That is awesome!Streetwalker wrote:So I managed to golf it down enough by using kprintf and replacing libfat with fatfs while keeping libogc's SD driver. Source code here, binaries as soon as emu_kidid has tested it on his SX.

I just want to say you guys rock! Thank you for all this help!
Re: Qoob Chip
Just tried, it fits thanks to dollz. I need to figure out a way to package it for flashing on a SX since you can't flash it via USB, and I'll upload it tomorrow. Wow! That's amazing! Thank you very much! Edit-- Merging posts Take the qoobSX update ELF and replace the GCB in it, easiest way to flash...

Dude! You're awesome! Thank you so much for giving it a shot!Streetwalker wrote:There is none. I'm going to try and make it fit but I can't promise anything.
Re: Qoob Chip
If you have an SD gecko, it's possible to fit a small loader in the Qoob SX flash, but that'll need a bit of work, libogc is one fat fucker. I made something like that for my Qoob pro, and it needs 192KB of flash. I'm willing to do it that way, the QoobSX has 1mbit(128Kbytes) of flash memory instea...
Re: Qoob Chip
Hi, I'm kind of a noob and I'd like to push the latest version of SwissGC on the flash memory of my Gamecube with a Qoob SX. How can I do this ? (I have the ethernet adapter) You can't, the flash is too small. Will i need to change QOOB 1.3 flash disk rar to a iso disk file to upgrade my firmware, ...

Re: Unable to play backups
Personally at this point I'd consider upgrading to a higher end modchip. (one able to use swiss and sdgecko isos without burning a disc) Xeno GC's greatest strength of being cheap and simple, is also its weakness in other respects. I'm new to gamecube modding and was reading through the forums to p...
