Re: Fried motherboard repair (zeldaxpro HDMI adapter)
Sorry for the late reply :D I actually still have this motherboard and now I killed another one apparently. Somehow the ZeldaXpro is still working but I never use it its too dangerous, now I have these 3D printed adapters from China. While trying to install Picoboot on a working MB I managed to loos...

Re: Gamecube not working
You could try to dissemble it further and use electronic cleaning tools like alcohol spray stuff and check if any other ribbon stuff is damaged or something is loose. Otherwise just try to look for a console somewhere can be quite cheap. Othgerwise on ebay you can find parts quite cheap from japan b...

Re: Optimised 50hz-only PAL games?
I noticed something with THPS3 and THPS4, the PAL version is designed for 50hz and actually runs slower. When I try to force 60hz on PAL game, the speed of skater is way too fast... But then I notice still the 60hz of USA version is slightly faster game speed than the 50hz PAL. But I got used to the...

Re: [Screwed Up] Optical board damaged while soldering XenoGC
I also messed up quite a few baords trying to solder the chip directly (I never managed actually). But using wires, I did about 6 successful installation. Your board is still functional but the Xeno most likely wont work on these pins. Try to google for alternate points on the other side of the boar...

Dead dvd drive but laser working?
Hi all, I tried a xenogc install on a gamecube and noticed it did not play any game after that even originals. I forgot to test it before attempting the Xeno install. Since I have few gamecubes left and especially extra dvd boards (the PCB that hold the Xenogc) I decided to try out stuff. I swapped ...

Re: Where to buy 8cm DVD-R/DVD+R GC-compatible discs these days
Whats wrong with the Aliexpress ones? I have these and they work 90% of the time I would say which is great. These days I just burn Swiss discs for several NGC I repair and mod. I also found an old Viper NGC case so that it can read full size DVD :D No idea how much that is worth now but I paid like...

Re: Memory Card Can't Be Read when Launching a Rom Through Swiss
I have had issues with one of my card (fake) that reported higher number of blocks than it actually had.. I made a backup on sd card of all my save using GCMM and then format the card entirely. The size was different and I was able to restore from SD (one by one each game). Otherwise you can use tha...

I answer a year and a half later but professional collectors use hard plastic cases like there are in some videogame store, I guess they are pretty expensive but if the games are worth it, you can do that. On ebay there are some rare games in those boxes so you can take a look
