Re: Essential Homebrew to Have Installed on your Wii?
My favorite homebrew apps are: -WiiXplorer because of its text editor, image viewer, music player, file browser, app and channel launcherand FTP to wirelessly transfer files to and from wii storage devices. -GeckoOS for cheats in wii games -WiiMC, a sweet-looking media player. -Riivolution which can...

Re: Are things going more or less smoothly with Wii64/WiiSX?
I don't mind the lack of updates. I'm happy with Wii64 as it is and project64 is so good that I don't mind needing a computer to use it.

I like this kind of update better than the "Oh please understand the hard work we're doing" type of updates.

My favorite dinosaur is the stegosaurus. I love the spikes.
Edit: Oh wait! And the Tyrannosaurus Rex is over-rated.

I downloaded my megaupload link and I tried the file from Extrems and I was able to load a rom from USB with both executables. -Make sure IOS58 is installed. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/IOS58_Installer Then you have to reinstall the homebrew channel http://bootmii.org/download/ Note: You are allowed to ...

Re: USB Problem
Here is the Wii64 mod with USB2 support. Any potential incompatibilities regarding USB devices have nothing to do with the official Wii64 team so don't contact them to report bugs.

Re: USB Problem
I searched around on the internet for the Wii64 mod that adds USB2 support via IOS58 and I managed to grab a copy of it. If the Wii64 team is alright with me uploading it, I can attach it to this post.

Re: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
The only way to find out if WiiSX will play the .iso no problem is if you try it yourself. The current compatibility for WiiSX is not perfect so not every game will work 100% and some games may not work at all. After checking the latest blog entry for WiiSX beta 2.1, some posts made it seem that Cas...

Re: A First Start to Computer Programming
I think what I will do is get the source code of some programs I use such as audacity, gimp and camstudio and read through it and try to understand what some parts mean. I got the source code of audacity and I'm trying to find the best way to view it. I saw someone doing programming on a computer be...

A First Start to Computer Programming
Where is the best place for me start learning how to write programs for the computer? Right now I don't know anything about Visual Basic or C# or C++ other than C++ is difficult to learn/use. Which language would you say is the easiest and best one to start with and please link me to some tutorials ...

Re: Brand new features?!?!?
I see. Even though cheat codes and improved savestates would be a luxury, it makes sense to improve the library of playable N64 games before adding the bells and whistles.

Re: Brand new features?!?!?
I am hoping that Wii64 will have cheat codes and a savestate manager with improved saving and loading (the emulator freezes sometimes when I load a savestate from a previous session.). It looks like all I want is already a part of the plans. May the development prove to be fruitful.

Re: Goldeneye 007 - Wii
Never played Goldeneye 007 on wii. The only playtime of goldeneye I've ever got was out of very short and small battles in multiplayer from the N64 version. I watched Awesome Video Games play goldeneye wii and it looks fun, but I'm not the type of gamer who goes crazy over first person shooters.

Re: Wii64 Beta 1.1 "Honey" Compatibility Discussion
I have just found a place in Bomberman Hero where the emulator crashes every single time and a code dump appears. On Mazone Area 2 in Snowland, if you go past the second snowman enemy and approach the land ahead where the bottomless pit is, the game crashes. You can't even walk around the pit withou...
