Try replacing your power supply if you haven't already.
I highly doubt that the fuse was ever bad to begin with

Re: Curious about which mods to do for my cube.
Just do a xeno mod, No switch needed and your menus will still be in your region/ language. Led mod is simple and nice. A good paint job is probably the best way to make it stand out and you can buy a pretty nice replacement jewel from places like Etsy. After mods please upload a picture. I'd really...

Re: What about offbrand/unbranded Memory Cards?
Madcatz has some 16X I've never had a problem with, 16 year old files still there.
The extended WII GameCube style memory cards are the only ones I've had problems with personally.
Never used anything super jank/cheap though like China clones

That one is probably fake but It's what Nintendo and PlayStation's actual collaboration was though. It was before the N64 as a beta concept tested on a SNES. I thought everyone knew about it.

Re: GC dvd drive on PC?
Check into ProDG for GameCube. It's probably your best bet at software, at least a good starting point. But finding anyone who wants to design a board just for that with a minimum order of at least 500 is a little far-fetched. Even though the games are programmed on a PC equivalent they never seen a...

Re: GC Loader. Should I sell?
Space is kind of an issue.. My kitchen has something like 20 boxes of just GameCube parts and about the same in various other consoles and peripherals. The bedroom.. oh my bedroom... The amount of gaming crap I've accumulated is ridiculous and I'm mainly just concerned about the possibility of havin...

GC Loader. Should I sell?
Okay guys. I received my GC Loader in the mail last Monday still unopened, received the 3D printed drive with SD extension and a few sd2sp2's a while back. Basically I have the whole setup ready to go but I have so many modded Cubes and Wii's that I'm not really feeling putting it together. I'm inte...

Re: WiiU.Wii.GC. PPC Architectures
Can also install MacOS and Linux. The point is it's possible to port one systems games to another using some sort of compiler but it would be easier to use a virtual machine. So yes Core316 it is possible to port an older systems games to a newer system and between console Generations, it's just a l...

Technically since you have to set a compatibility mode unless said game is still updated making it modern.

I think mechanism in this way is referring to the definition - Established process by which something takes place.
Either way that was the true definition for compatibility mode.

A compatibility mode is a software mechanism in which a software either emulates an older version of software, or mimics another operating system in order to allow older or incompatible software or files to remain compatible with the computer's newer hardware or software.

Re: Purchase a NTSC cube or continue on PAL?
The real question is if it's a mod chip or just a region switch. As he didn't say we don't know and he can't play his disks if he needs a Swiss DVD to implement the settings he wants, his post makes it sound like he wants to play his original games and not roms on SD. I didn't want to assume and get...

Re: WiiU.Wii.GC. PPC Architectures
vWii is just emulation.
Emulation = Reproduction of the function or action of a different computer, software system, etc.
The original Wii would limit it's cores to be a functional GameCube thus it would emulate via hardware but the vWii is just software emulation.

Re: Purchase a NTSC cube or continue on PAL?
Swiss is your best bet for what it sounds like you want. Just need a way to implement the software so you could buy that guys cube and install a chip that allows Swiss. The cheapest way would be XENO but then you would need to load backups but it sounds like you want to play OEM games so that makes ...

It's an internal power supply. Feeds the correct power to the proper places, that's all.
