Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question

It is a nice idea and I have considered it. However, the amount of interested people for this seems so low that it is probably not worth it for us. Sorry. Thats a shame :( Judging from the replies in this thread:- https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=65485 I think there are more than a f...

Re: Mario Kart: Double Dash (GCN/AR/PAL)

Are you able to make a code where every character has king boo and peteys special items, not like the purely random items code that there is already, but the one that kb and petey actually use, as in they get certain special items at certain positions, how it normally works? BUMP, perhaps someone e...

Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question

Info has been posted on Dan's website: https://shop.dansprojects.com/gc-loader.html Most important new info: - Installation is done using a flex cable. The soldering is very easy. It is also possible to make it plug and play, but you will have to salvage an existing drive connector. - Audiostreamin...

I think I have too much spare time lol. I have another design which has a bit more of a crowded look (for the ones who don't like the simple one).

Re: Made a mini-dvd label for Swiss!

You're better off avoiding having a revision number on there to be honest I think you are actually right. This is how it is without a revision number on it (see pic below). I also am getting white mini dvd's, so when I put a label on it, it won't show any visible corner lines (i.e. color from the d...

Nice, do you print them on transparent sticker with sublimation printer?

You'll have to make the r685 now! :P
I print them on Herma 8619 mini labels with an inkjet printer. Here is another design.

Re: Swiss 685 issues

I can even make a video where you can clearly see the stutter in r451 but in 631 it's basically gone. Were u not informed/familiar about the "what seems to be a performance increase" situation with this version when it comes to the pokemon games (seemingly, in case it's a placebo for me lol)?

Are you absolutely sure you've enabled "Alternate Read Patches" under "Advanced Settings"? Your improvement over r451 is likely unrelated.
Most certainly. See attachments.

Re: Made a mini-dvd label for Swiss!

Updated design with an extra piranha plant blended in. Also tweaked the USK logo. For the people who want the funny "seal" logo I added in an extra version. So you have the original nintendo logo and the official seal logo. Here are the updated designs on imgur: https://imgur.com/a/paPcKde

They weren't enabled by default in r650, are you sure you were using them then?
My bad I double checked it, it was swiss 634 and yes I am sure I was using them (since I just checked it again, it plays without any problems and is very very smooth compared to older builds such as 451).

Swiss 685 issues

Hi, The latest version is giving me a weird issue. Whenever I burn it onto a disc, whatever speed / settings / burning program, it only get's detected every few tries. I haven't had this issue with any other version of swiss. Also, with version 683 and 685, whenever I load up Pokemon XD: Gale of Dar...

Made a mini-dvd label for Swiss!

Hi, The Swiss software is brilliant and to make it look less boring on a disc this was my attempt on making a label for it because it deserves it. Even though you won't see the mini-dvd for the majority of time I made the label anyways since I thought it was a fun project. It probably will also beco...

Re: Problem locating Xeno 2.0 chips

Hi HeroProc, Most chips are clones and most of them have the v2.0 version running on them (from what I've seen and experienced). I've used a couple of chips and all of them were running that version. Here is more info regarding these chips: https://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=XenoGC One ...

I didn't mean the fan but the GC itself. No one has ever tried to identify where the sound comes from but there are some workloads that make it buzz and whine like crazy. Yes, I know what u mean. I kept my ear (while the GC was powered on) near the gc and tried to identify where it came from. I thi...

Couple that with solid state media and you will have a completely silent GameCube that isn't an eye sore. You mean an "ear sore"? Exactly that! That was also somewhat of a problem with the new fan even though it was less noisy, it had that awkward kind of coil whine where you would definitely hear ...

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

You should be able to use any aftermarket CPU heatsink with heatpipes, the problem is placing a heat spreader between the heatsink and the CPU and GPU. You can get away with tiny heatsinks on the RAM. I think something made for threadripper might give you the most chances of success, something like...
