Re: GBI from Memory card. noob questions

as I always play PAL ISOs, for Spanish, I needed Zelda WW, to present the screen option for 60Htz. but in GCVIDEO mode, it went straight with 50Htz. and it was black and white on my TV. I used GBI <then with the interchange between slots, I realized that the GBI menu was no longer displayed, assumi...

Re: Swiss ISO loading issue

Try to put your ISOs on a freshly formated card, then try with the less patches enabled as possible. Rip the SWISS.ini file off the SD, and only use global settings to begin with, as it may be less confusing knowing what are the settings for one specific game or another. What is/are the Game/s you'r...

How to get proper EDTV output off Wii games in 2020?

Now that the bad Wii's progressive output cause has been identified, what are our options to get proper 480p video output in Wii games? Do the online patchers run from the internet channel such as WiiMmfi's include video patch? Is there a Wii Firmware update (official or not) that adresses this? Wha...

Re: GCPlug Information - Inc firmware updates

Your best bet would be to use an exploit that doesn't need any menu browsing, such as the Zelda ones, so you don't have to see what's happening befor SWISS is loaded.
Otherwise, get an extra NTSC or PAL cube.

Re: Config failed to save

Beginning with the GC-forever WIKI would be a good start. Then you can see how the examples .cli files provided in the GBI archive are written within a text editor, and edit them with your own settings. Most of them are self-explanatory, others are more complicated to figure out, but they are not ma...

Re: Config failed to save

SWISS only patches Games' ISOs, any homebrew you use should have its own way to somewhat save its settings.

To save settings for GBI, you have to set a .cli file for it according to your needs, no way to save settings via any GUI.

Extrems> With launching through IPL, can one get correct display on PAL-M consoles, or does it re-launch from internal rom, without those specific NTSC video patches? Re: Gamecube not outputting audio with any cables

I know I damaged my Platinum unit once while fiddling with the Digital AV out, I accidentally apply 12V to the digital out pin, what ended up having an Analog audio out not working anymore, except for scritches when pushing the volume up. Maybe just a cap and some resistors are damaged, or even the ...

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here

F-Zero has been shown to be quite sensitive to Video Patches in the past, So I stuck to the US version, with no other video patches then 720Px, setting both progressive mode and 16/9 from the game itself. I haven't played this game recently (not since v5).

Re: GBI from Memory card. noob questions

I wasn't aware of this feature, interresting, while I haven't spend much time to explore GBI settings for now, nor testing last SWISS releases as I was into patch-translating some SNES and GB games, testing GB SD/ROM carts, and building/modifying video cables for GC and Wii. Too bad you didn't get o...

Re: shinehax - A Super Mario Sunshine (PAL) Save Exploit

This setting must be saved even after a powercut. Does your GC manages to save date and time, and still be on time when powered back after one day off? If not, you'll have to change its RTC battery, that helps keeping some settings as well. If it keeps time, try to setup the IGR in SWISS, so that yo...

Re: shinehax - A Super Mario Sunshine (PAL) Save Exploit

There's an experimental .g version of GCMM that support SD2SP2. ;)

Anyways, if you were able to copy SWISS as boot.GCI, you may be able to put a Dolauncher instead as well.

Re: shinehax - A Super Mario Sunshine (PAL) Save Exploit

No, it's: SMS -> Loads code off its hacked save Hacked save -> Loads Boot.gci off the memcard (Boot.GCI is a .dol small enough to fit on a Memcard, converted to .gci with dol2gci, could be any homebrew, SWISS, GBI, or a "dolauncher) Dolauncher -> Loads a .dol off a volume connected to the EXI bus, c...

Re: shinehax - A Super Mario Sunshine (PAL) Save Exploit

Did you put a dolancher on the memcard, so that SWISS can be loader off the SD card?

If yes, you may try to copy the savefiles with GCMM instead of SWISS.

Try to run SMS without any card, press B at launch, and select 50Hz, then, turn off the GC, and put all the stuff to boot the exploit.

Re: Love swiss, hate DVD-r

The best and fastest method for booting SWISS with an unmodded console is a PAL console and PAL SuperMarioSunshine, but it suggest that you only use NTSC games then, or never use your PAL games set to 60Hz (those who are 60Hz only are OK). Otherwise, booting from a game exploit may take some time (4...

Re: Game disc not reading, no visible scratches

Did you wash this disc with dish soap and cold water? Sometimes fingreprints leave sweat marks that may get spread and unnoticeable if cleaned with dry soft cloth, but still mess with reading ability. (I have seen that on audio CDs too. Clean the disc, clean the GC's lens, and try to dump it with cl...

Re: Love swiss, hate DVD-r

Don't be afraid by the compatibility list for games booting off SD cards, it has just been reset to get a big and proper update. Every game should work, and if one doesn't, reporting here usually results in a patch for SWISS, so the next release will be ok. SWISS devs are among the most reactive one...

Re: Game disc not reading, no visible scratches

Look if the bright surface doesn't show blistering or tint of some sort somewhere, from the borders or the center, I broke my SMS disc that way, it fell then the two plates are separating a little, enough to break it. Also I had an issue once with one of my games I use to boot SWISS: I had just clea...

Re: Swiss: Action Replay/SDLOADER, "Too many patches enabled, memory limit reached!" error

Try to disable the most patches and cheats, if it works, re-enable them one by one to see where it gets stuck.

If it's with a specific game only, see the GC forever wiki compatibility list.

Try to use the most recent SWISS release as much as possible.

Re: Save exploit for Ed, Edd'n Eddy The mis-edventures and internal Sd gecko?

That's what I stated there, this same question was spammed around multiple times.

Let's just hope the mod was made smart enough not to have problems with the card detect (not just shorted, but redirected to the SD slots', if wired on the slotB).

Yes, you have to append (concatenate) the .cli file to the .dol, and be sure whatever launches GBI supports it.
