Re: DVD Drive Emulator Question

An ODE has chances to achieve a much higher Compatibility rate with games, compared to SDgecko/SD2SP2. Also, as of today, there is no direct boot options to SD2SP2 compared to SDGecko, it's an issue that may be adressed in a close future, but at the moment, you still need to either boot SWISS off an...

Re: Game Boy Interface

So I tried to dive into overlay setup, but don't know where to begin. I don't know where to find information, looked in the Wiki, no readme's in the packages, can't connect to Discord… The only thing I found is the overlay path, and options from the SR edition's Wiki, but don't find what format it s...

Re: Hello!

Hello and welcome. Do you plan on getting internal GCVIdeo mod, or maybe you have a good analog setup (RGB?), or you will record speedruns with the so-named GBI SR? I recently got a DOL-101 and would be interested to hear about the possible internal mods to get removed ports (Digital AV, SP2) functi...

Re: What is the best GCVideo adapter?

Everything depends of the console you have (DOL-001/DOL-101/RVL-001), the display you want to hook it to, and wether you want to modify your console, and are skilled enough to do it. Seems that you go the Carby way, it is the most serious plug'n'play product (built to industrial standards), and not ...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I wasn't aware that the overlay feature could be used in the screen area. :o So assuming that, one can make specific GameBoy frames with no "black" around the useful display size? The overlay doesn't have to be pixel perfect? (240x160 in the display zone) It can be 3 times the resolution (to match x...

Re: Game Boy Interface

Thanks for all those. Tinkering with GCVideo DVI, and the scanline options, I thought it is quite pointless for GBA/GB, because it doesn't quite refer to the pixel matrix feeling. :? So I was wondering if a 3:2 3x zoom mode would be possible in a 720x480 frame with a pixel grid, making 2x2 pixels an...

My bad, I edited so no one will quote such a wrong statement.
SWISS is improving so rapidly we sometimes can't cope with that and lag somehow.

Re: Hi, about Serial port 2 USB for Swiss, any chance?

I didn't test the loading times, but we have quite decent reading speed with the last patches in SWISS. In fact, I did the Video on the fly, with no prepared text, and it was originally so boring (yes! much more that it already is!) that I had to cut the most useless parts here and there. Anyway, it...

I think we are many in that situation, and won't be surprised some of us dived into the replacement of theirs.

In the pictures, some seem to look closer to the originals than others, but what do we get in the end?

Please share your experience, I may eventually share mine when I'll get mine replaced.

The Xeno modifies the header in the disc's informations, that's essentially how it works, I read it somewhere, don't remember, maybe on these boards. :? … not sure why you'd boot anything but the HBC installer from letterbomb. Considering the skills and work involved to get a chip installed and working, I won't consider using a Xeno is the easiest way to use any homebrew. Maybe Cleanrip can even launch straight from the letterbomb exploit, as well as GCMM, I'l try it some day, and report back. But still, it would b...

Saving code in case discs breaks? Who knows? Very nice to see it updated. 8-) I'm in search of a solution to tidy up my memcards, OSX it tending to put useless files on them, and I end up having fragmented files, XP's defrag shows its limits, and I don't even use ExFat SDs yet! Game Save Hacks (Exploits) with integrated DoLauncher

With libogc now supporting SD2SP2, it is time to update the DoLaunchers, and I was wondering, as some savefiles are bigger than others, the exploit doesn't take much space in them see: 007AUF save is as little as 3 blocks, WW one is 12 blocks, that's pretty much as if there is 9 extra blocks in WW s...

Re: How to change Swiss defaults for game-specific settings?

Tested yesterday with the r685: Use an "HD" able console, set 576p for WW, save and run it, OK. Get back on a gamecube with RGB cable, check the game's specific settings for WW, to confirm 576p is selected, launch it, then, SWISS displays 288p as the selected video mode, and no doubt the game is run...

Re: received this the other day

Well, I ordered one to be able to talk about it, and it came quite fast (by air mail, took 10 days to come), it has GC Video version 2.4c on it. As expected, the main housing is terrible, but the connector has been way more precisely made, and has separation between pins, both are 3D printed plastic...

Re: DoLaunchers: McLoader and Brosexec

Now that libogc supports SD2SP2, and ExFat format becomes supported by more and more homebrews, it would be really nice to see a big update for those Dolaunchers that runs autoexec.dol from an SD card. I suppose SD2SP2 support won't be that big of a deal, at first, while a new file format may need h...

Re: Hello, Im new and I need help

I don't know much about AR/FL use to boot homebrew, just that this seems to be quite a pain.

Region lock is only on the booting of discs, some games (very few) show limitations when relying on Rom based fonts, and memcard jap format can't handle occidental character encoding and vice-versa.

Hi! Beeing unable to quit the chalice aura is quite a good thing when playing multiplayer with unexperimented player, but would it be possible to get Moog carry the chalice in multiplayer mode? Since seeing one of the party players having to do that ruins the interest of playing at two players. Thanks

Ok, so let's say it is for the sake of conservation and educationnal purpose. ;) Downgrading your Wii may not impact CleanRip's behavior. Maybe if you try to dump it on a GC, it won't be mistaken for a Wii Disc? SWISS has a built-in dumping utility, that proved to be quite useles for games, but may ...

Re: Wind Waker Hack for GC

The GameSave Hack just tries to launch an executable off the slot A Memcard named Boot.GCI, this can be a dolauncher (that will launch autoexec.dol from the SD card in SlotB), a launcher menu, that can let you choose from different executables on the Memcard (.GCI converted), or a homebrew converted...
