Re: Can a sd2sp2 be used as memory card?

I never used the Wiikey as a memory card, is it another new SWISS feature I have missed?

If SWISS can save on a WiiKey, I don't see why it won't on an SD2SP2, unless it has to keep iso source device and save device distinct to avoid reading collisions/slows. :|

Flashcarts issues with some Gameboy Player units

Hi all, I've been bugged by an issue with my Supercard SD and GameBoy Player, and first thought it was because of GBI, further testing showed that it isn't software related, I have to create a new thread to stop plaguing the original one where I first talked about it. Is GBI compatible with "SuperCa...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I reported an issue that appears not to be GBI related at all, so I started a new thread about GBPlayer flascarts incompatibility instead of plaguing on this one.

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

I just received and tried my RF modulator and was wondering too: When trying WW in 480lines, the TV zooms it to full height, but when keeping the 576lines setting, I have the horizontal lines too. (Both forced to 720Px)

Re: Swiss Nightly Build

That makes more sense to play with Link less squished, and it works for the analog output and even in 4/3 too!

The dithering is a little ugliest, but it is ugly anyway.

This scaling makes small fonts look bad (Burnout2 menus), but it can still be read, and it isn't that noticeable in game.

Re: Snes9xgx: Freezing/Stuck at "Loading DVD" Swiss r845 with SD2SP2

I think I have already discussed this issue, but maybe not on these boards, unfortunately, I don't remember what fixed this. Try with just the device you use with it: no card in SD2SP2* if you intend to use the Gecko, and no Gecko inserted at all* if you intend to use the SD2SP2. ;) *keeping the SD2...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I thought GBI HF had to make the tradeoff of zoom ability for speed, but there seems to have a little possibilities. Take a look there , and compare with the GBI "regular" CLI, so you can make a GBIHF.cli then. Beware that it is highly recommended to have a GCVideo device updated to V3 and higher! H...

Re: Game Boy Interface

What's wrong with 480p? Trying to get 240p through digital output may lead to serious trouble, as very few devices support it. So there is an option in GCVideo to line-double 240p in order to output it as 480p for better compatibility, maybe you set it "on". With the regular GBI, you can zoom in and...

this is the console with the new digital mod 101. yes, very clean and genuine. but it seems to be compatible with the original component only ... how would that be with the wii chip, in the gamecube, with this mod I would be able to put the cube in progressive Scan mode? 8-) how would it be? would ...

Re: Fried motherboard repair (zeldaxpro HDMI adapter)

No, the mechanical positionning of the block has to be done very precisely. I thought the beam was servo-centered with the raw signal as a refernce to target the peak value, but it seems it is not the case in the GC. The spin motor doesn't start before the beam has detected a disc, so if the Laser i...

Re: Fried motherboard repaid (zeldaxpro HDMI adapter)

Those on Alix are not the best quality, but safe enough and the cheapest for sure! ;) Trying the zeldaxpro may not be worth frying another cube, it's up to you to decide. Carby also sells their high quality Digital Av connector , it may be a nice upgrade to your HDMI adapter, if ever possible. Don't...

At last, that wasn't a drunk girl, this time! That's not as nobody warned that such bad thing can happen… I'm not aware of the possible pin to be shorted when this happens, but if you fried the GPUs output, it may not be repaired, if you fried the Video DAC, maybe you can have it re...

Re: UltraHDMI question

My bad If I took the Ultra HDMI for anothe N64 mod I've seen before, that just hooked to the analog signal. So there are many mods that make no sense. :D Many older consoles don't even have a DAC, and getting real digital data for display can be tricky, (when even possible), see the Atari 2600 mods....

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

Ok I'm going to have to correct you. Yea you can convert it since I already did it since no one said anything and the 4th is composite Csync then ground H-sync and Vsync its a PAL version of a VGA cable with composite and left and right sound I didn't write that it can't be done at all, but that it...

Re: GC Loader. Should I sell?

Oh my! Just re-assemble the most possible in working order, and concentrate on essentials. Even if I would've been next door, I wouldn't have been of any help, I already had to sell so many things before moving the last time, and still, there are some big boxes of electronics, consoles and games' bo...

Re: UltraHDMI question

RGB over Composite or s-Video is a big step forward, if you have a display that is good at RGB (and don't rely on any adapter), and can get rid of that crawling artifact due to composite video taken as Sync signal (LM1881 or 1980 are your friends at it). Then, going from RGB to HDMI won't be that hu...

Re: Scart cable to component mod possible?

No, you can't go straight from RGBs (where signal can goes through 4 wires) to YUV (where signal goes through 3 wires), you need at last some analog active chips. Don't cut the connector, find the female one to make an adapter to the display you want to connect to (BNC, sub-D HD15…), or buy a male N...

Re: GC dvd drive on PC?

I highly doubt it, disc drives refuse to read GameCube/Wii discs. The only reason those LG drives can work is because they're being fed debug commands to tell them to try and read after the drive believes that it has failed to read it properly. As a result, some of the data ends up in the drive RAM...

Re: GC dvd drive on PC?

I wasn't aware of the ripping slowness even compared to the GC's performance at it, so it is definitely not worth it. I remember my eMac with early OSX 10.2's disk backup utility was able to rip and burn some Video DVD's without any copyright disclaimer, I wonder if it would be able to do so with GC...

Re: GC Loader. Should I sell?

If storage room and/or money is not a problem, just keep it! If you don't want to keep so many cubes, sell those that you may feel are the less rare or with the less valuable chip/mod. I have sold/traded so many consoles in the past that today may have been much more profitable to wait to sell, or m...

He was specifically asking for Majora's Mask, I talked about injection only to play the original "unaltered" N64 ROM.
Using the emu probably gives far more compatibility (Even if only partial with some games), and more flexibility/ease of use. ;)

Keeping them distinct is intentionnal and makes sense, as long as you could want another .dol than SWISS as an IGR. What would have been nice would have been a shortcut fuctionnality, either in the launchers, or with an app that would generate a .dol that redirects to any named other .dol, then, you...

Problems have been reported recently with a Metroïd, and further investigations eventually showed that the file was just damaged on the media, do you have a mean to re-dump or check your ISOs? You don't need that much stuff for the Wii, just a RVL-001, its wiimote, cables and a SD card, GCMM can be launched off the letterbomb exploit on any unmodded Wii. ;)

Re: Best soft mod solution for Japanese consoles?

Someone told me the JAP WindWaker is not selling at such high price than in "roman languages", maybe an exploit is interesting, while you have to beware when trying to mix Asian and roman saves on the same memcard.
