Re: DoLaunchers: McLoader and Brosexec

Excellent! I put this on all my memcards, it's 1 block less now, not that I'm short on space…

It's such a pity that newer compilers/libraries bloats the resulting dols with useless data, I would have loved to get exploits integrated dolaunchers.

Re: CleanRip Question

Homebrews usually just ignore or overrides region limitations/lock, not only can you rip foreign discs, but you can launch them too or their dumped ISO from SWISS, for example. 8-)

Re: FBA retro arch help

None of those I tested worked. (as of 1.9.10 or something)
My base test is Theodore, as I have had it running for a while, then if it works, I try the others.

Re: Game Boy Interface

I think I have seen something about setting the scheme in the GBPlayer's original software so it is set in the console's SRAM, then kept when back into GBI, though I never tried. What really eludes me, and prevents me from buying these Raphnet's adapter, is why they don't just pass button to button,...

GBA ratio is quite close to 16/9, set it to 3:2 then force 16/9 on the TV.

Re: FBA retro arch help

Still trying to figure out how to reach someone at RA or libretro to help by testing and reporting what works and what does not because getting it to work properly on the GC seems problematic or they just don't care much about. I personally had working cores until the 1.8.5 if I remember well, using...

Re: Swiss version 0.6 is released

That was just thoughts. :P I'm still in a learning process for low level programming, but I have a slight Idea of how complicated it can be, especially when there doesn't have any spare ram on the system available to build up a game-dedicated file allocation table. ;) But you (SWISS programmers) mad...

Re: Swiss version 0.6 is released

Aren't virtual memcards 2043 blocks? Who needs more on a daily basis? I personnally think having more virtual memcard files would lead to quite a mess to manage, what would be even nicer would be virtual memcard interfacing straight use of save.gci files off the SD when saving on a per-game basis. T...

Re: Game Boy Interface

GBI doesn't run games, it is just an interface to display what the GBPlayer has to display. As-is, a GBPlayer, as a GBA, can run little programs, such as additionnal players' or Minigames off GC games (Animal crossing, chocobos, Sega chaosses…) or even emulators if small enough with the rom , connec...

Re: Question: Advantages of using Serial Port 2?

You didn't read the right threads, technically, there is not much difference between memcard slots and SP2, they're both connected to EXI bus. But the SD2SP2 devices don't interfere with any commercial game, so you'll not only be able to simulate memcards on both slots, you'll also be able to connec...

Re: Having trouble importing saves to memory card

I'm afraid SWISS messed with your file first when picking that off the Memcard. I don't know how it is going now with the latest releases, but I learnt a long time ago not to rely on SWISS to copy saves nor dump discs. Do you still have the original memcard and file so you can back it up properly wi...

Re: Wifi SD Card with Swiss and GC?

Not sure it will be very fast as GC ISOs may be up to two 1.4 GB images, but in the case of the use with a phone, it may be simpler. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, just try and tell us, don't forget to get back to device selection to update the device's directories once files have been...

You need a way to load SWISS first, either a game exploit, or the SWISS forwarder from the HB channel.

Re: Help Making Bootable GCN Homebrew Discs

You'll be able to run Dols as well as ISOs from SWISS on either a GameCube or a Wii in GC mode. This only way you would be able to test real hardware compatibility. Dolphin is going beyond what the GC has ever been able to do, without ever having been able to do everything the cube can do. This is n...

Re: GCPlug controlled by gamepad?

IOs on the FPGA are assigned to one function or another due to PCB topograpy differences, not sure there's a pin assigned to controller input on the GCPlug's FW version, as it it not supposed to be connected to the console innards. Someone with the GCVideo FW building know how may answer or even pro...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I personally use a GCPlug with FW 2.4d with no problems, as long as I can do without the further improvements that adresses some limitations of the early versions. You'll just have to face out known issues here and there, but It won't hurt your console or TV anyways. Still, as soon as I get my hands...

Can't you rip it with cleanrip?

What's their tool to dump GC discs? Will they be able to copy it with authoring burner and authoring DVDs?
