Re: Wifi SD Card with Swiss and GC?

Not sure it will be very fast as GC ISOs may be up to two 1.4 GB images, but in the case of the use with a phone, it may be simpler. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, just try and tell us, don't forget to get back to device selection to update the device's directories once files have been...

Re: Help Making Bootable GCN Homebrew Discs

You need a way to load SWISS first, either a game exploit, or the SWISS forwarder from the HB channel.

Re: Help Making Bootable GCN Homebrew Discs

You'll be able to run Dols as well as ISOs from SWISS on either a GameCube or a Wii in GC mode. This only way you would be able to test real hardware compatibility. Dolphin is going beyond what the GC has ever been able to do, without ever having been able to do everything the cube can do. This is n...

Re: GCPlug controlled by gamepad?

IOs on the FPGA are assigned to one function or another due to PCB topograpy differences, not sure there's a pin assigned to controller input on the GCPlug's FW version, as it it not supposed to be connected to the console innards. Someone with the GCVideo FW building know how may answer or even pro...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I personally use a GCPlug with FW 2.4d with no problems, as long as I can do without the further improvements that adresses some limitations of the early versions. You'll just have to face out known issues here and there, but It won't hurt your console or TV anyways. Still, as soon as I get my hands...

Did you try to use SWISS on you dev units, it seems that Extrems is working on that, as the last changelogs suggest.

Can't you rip it with cleanrip?

What's their tool to dump GC discs? Will they be able to copy it with authoring burner and authoring DVDs?

Re: Retro league GX

I must admit that little game is quite fun to play, my son likes it much. I see there are other versions along with the GC one, and as I don't have any BBA, I may try the Wii's for multi-player mayhem online. It will sound like a home console player request, but a split screen multiplayer mode would...

Not in SWISS, while you have the carrousel mode, with ISO banners.
Something like USBloader on the Wii might do what you ask for.

Re: RGB Scart -> YPbPr RCA + L R Audio adapter?

Sorry, I was distracted and mismatched topics/OPs.

GCPlug is a GCVideo device that just plugs into the DAV Port if you have a DOL-001, you may find them on e-b or alix. ;)

Re: Game Boy Interface

Coming back to original request for using GBI with 0 frame latency- I also thought analog signals might be slow and taxing the console's CPU while HDMI or component signals might be sufficient enough. However I have no idea whether it is possible at all at this moment and I don't want to spend 150$...

Re: RGB Scart -> YPbPr RCA + L R Audio adapter?

5 RCA video cables are not RGB, but some kind of YUV signal, usually called "component". Chinese build GCPlugs are the cheapest you can go, when it comes to HDMI connection, beware of the new EU import tax laws when you'll buy from there. If you don't need two GCs to play simultaneously, y...

Re: Is aliexpress a good way to obtain SWISS?

As webhdx said, just slap SWISS as boot.dol on an SD card in the gecko, and you'll be fine if your version on your burnt disc supports this. SDLoad is the old method to boot homebrews, not much used anymore, where SWISS tends to be the universal access point from exploits or chips. SP2 adapter is hi...

Re: Game Boy Interface

@Papy.G got the ED gba and is working perfectly. Easy interface and works well with the gbi features (zoom and such). Also it works fine with a 128gb micro sd. (Krikzz had said he only tested it with a 64gb card but it can support larger). No surprise for the GBI functionnalities, the issue I have ...

Re: Is aliexpress a good way to obtain SWISS?

SWISS is updated to a pace you'll inevitably end up with an outdated version quite fast, plus, they show the r~800and we are now over r~1100. You'd better get an SD card reader (Memcard style or SP2, wether you want to use old homebrews or just ISOs) to load an always up-to date version from it that...

Re: Memory cards not working in latest build

May be the GCloader new FW version will help you get what you want and prevent the need to bother modifiiing SWISS itself.

By booting through IPL, you'll see the boot sequence before running an iso. Though still not at power on.

Take that kick in the teeth!

I bought mine as an adult too, and went to "parties" with it, we were essentially playing MKDD, timesplitters on one friend's PS2, and Halo on lan-connected Xboxes. it was wayyy easier to take along than my eMac.

Re: 1080i60 on 60Hz titles?

Thanks, it’s really a great option. It looks like progressive scan on my CRT - I think partly because the resolution is so high the interlacing is invisible. Does it work with all 60hz titles? At the TV broadcast beginnings, interlaced scan was thought of because of the CRTs specificities and flaws...

Pretty sure v3 can't read SD cards off sp2, validate the working ay booting a fresh SWISS version off an SDGecko from which you may be able to read then.

Re: 1080i60 on 60Hz titles?

That's the limits of the Wii in terms of backwards compatibility.

SWISS is written with the GC in mind, it is the priority target.

I too, would have loved to be able to get 1080i output via Wii's component cable or any GCVideo device on the cube.
