I looked at my Bitfunx's HDMI adapter, then saw there is no button on this, so I wonder how can I access to that hidden menu, if I ever need to? Will I have to re-flash the FW just to get the settings back to defaults?

You did exactly what was suggested in the reddit thread I gave you a link to.

How cool is that! Maybe I used to be aware of that, if it was the case, I sure forgot it!
How do you do that? Can you assign a banner to any individual DOL, such as create one for GBI or any other emulator?

Long press on the device's button: https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamecube/comme ... _settings/
Maybe you have to save settings then, I just read it in a blionk, not sure I understood everything well.
Your Swiss version is not up to date.

Re: SD2SP2 2.0 casual chat
hi Papy , it's easier to buy a V2 than mod your V1. When I got mine I was eager to try Soul Calibur 2 , where the intro FMV would stutter. And yep the V2 passed with flying colors , no more stutter. Other games have benefited too The new V2.0 has increased speeds over the V1.0 , as you mentioned ab...

As obvious as you didn't figure out, the GC is not a PS2. Who cares about playing WW in Japanese off an SD card with Memcard emulation? (Does it have specific extras that US or PAL versions missed?) There are plenty of cheap discs around, and brand new memcards are still available, this game is wort...

I'm about to go for something internal, and those caveats just convinced me once more to go that route.
That's the only way to get proper signal, digital from end to end, for both Wiis and DOL-101 GCs.

There are many things to keep in mind for the choice of the Game to be exploited, some offer more comfort, while some others offer more flexibility, such as the ability to save for the "same" game on the same MC where you have the save exploit (only possible when two distinct game IDs exis...

Re: FIFA 2005 Save Exploit
You usually can't play a game with its save exploit file. To play such game, you either need another memcard, or another version of this same game that produces save files that have a different ID. The North American version of this game is called FIFA Soccer 2005 I wonder why the FIFA accepted such...

Maybe just loading the game through IPL so you can choose English over Japanese, but you have to be sure the game you load has the English text included, otherwise it will fallback to Japanese.

Re: Is my GC's Serial Port 2 damaged?!
Yeah it works around the EXI bus issue where the data flows back out and sends SD cards/devices garbage when using DMA. Note that it doesn't work in slot A, it'll just fallback to normal PIO functionality there OK, so that is enough for it to be a v2 device? Is it needed for Ethernet adapters too? ...

But the emulation's virtual memory is functional, despite some limitations. Memcard emulation and Virtual Ram on SD card are two very different things. However, I haven't been able to modify one or create a folder for the emulator, Wii, backups, etc. It still relies heavily on external platforms fo...

Re: FlippyDrive ODE
There are SPI ethernet options now, I don't expect development going both ways, ODEs are not widely adopted, and there is quite a variety of them around. Maybe we can expect SPI WiFi options in a close future, even through ESP XXXX chips, that would open possibilities for both emulating BBA on Ether...

Until recently, I had a 128GB SD card with NKit ISOs in SP2 and 2GB SD card with emulators and utilities in Slot B. I had an 1GB formerly, but it ended up dying on me, It had been used much in a camera for years.

If you have time and knowledge to dive into retroarch for GC and patch it to a working workframe, you'll be welcome. Or at last try some of the emulators on each new stable release to confirm if still working from the previous or broken anew. Otherwise, getting a full and up-to-date SWISS manual in ...

The configuration file is already on the SD card, I don't see it flooding the GC's ram anyways. Displaying the covers can probably be done, but it may slow down SWISS file browser. Using SD card as virtual memory is not an option, as it will be slow and it may eventually kill the card. Settings had ...

Re: Is my GC's Serial Port 2 damaged?!
If you bought it for homebrews and emulators, you should have bought an SD to memcard slot adapter (Commonly called SD Gecko, although we only see WiiSD in the shops for centuries) for the sake of compatibility. For the same reasons, it may be better to format your card to Fat16. Some older HB and e...

Some GC games are frame synchronized, so forcing 60Hz may result in speeded game. If it is not, it's probably running as fast as it can.
I'm curious to know how it can be done, if it can ever be.

On SPI bus, every peripheral device is connected in parallel to the SO line, each one talking when its turn arrives. Don't you pull the IPL's CS pin up to solder it to a wire in the install process? ExtIn may stand for External interruption, so it may be just to halt the IPL and allow the Picoboot t...

Nobody has the skills nor tools to be able to swap optical blocks off the disc unit nowadays. Your disc drives are just f***ed up now. Did you first try to "exercise" the laser block, sliding it back and forth by hand, then clean the lens with alcohol and earsticks? The motor usually don't...
