Re: Disc Backup causing disc read error.

Ah, well I'll probably just deal with the laser. Swiss can boot ISO's apparently so I'm still able to preserve my discs. I will look into it when my laser actually dies.

Re: Disc Backup causing disc read error.

I will research how to replace a GameCube laser. I'm pretty competent in taking a GameCube apart, so I might be able to do that. Just be aware, laser replacements just don't want to cooperate sometimes, you might hit the jackpot and it works perfectly, you might also never be able to go back to you...

Re: Disc Backup causing disc read error.

Your laser is likely on its way out, but this can be prolonged if you're not using it for much other than booting Swiss or playing original discs. Before it fails, do you hear the laser struggle to read a few times before giving out? I wouldn't rule out a bad burn but that seems unlikely. I don't r...

Disc Backup causing disc read error.

A while back I got my GameCube modded by a friend to install a cheap Chinese clone of a XenoGC from ebay. Was even able to get the POT tweaked down to I think 168? After that I was able to run Swiss from a burned disc, so as far as homebrew goes I'm pretty much set. Now the problems come when I use ...

Re: Guardians can be emulated?

Depends on what game named Guardians are you referring to? All I could find for that name when searching "Guardians video game" was this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardians_(video_game) Its full name is Guardians/Denjin Makai II, it's a arcade game made by Japanese. It appears that on...

Re: looking for version of swiss to fit on 59block card

Well it really depends on if you want to use Swiss and only that. I use Swiss cause my setup allows it, but Papy G.'s recommendations are also good if you don't want to spend money. However if you are looking to buy an OEM or aftermarket card then these are the ones I'd recommend if you are in the U...

Re: Yo.

1) HD formats don't work properly over HDMI, and most video modes trigger the other chroma shift bug in GCVideo-DVI. 2) This isn't how GBIHF is meant to be used. Ah, thank you for the clarification. I'm new to GameCubes and Video stuff in general, I assumed hdcustom was what I needed. Also I wanted...

Re: Yo.

Hello, and welcome. Glad my guess was right, did you install a battery compartment, or just replaced the battery? Is your GC NTSC, or PAL? You didn't get the setup for cheap, you bought all this stuff in a rush? Or you put the games that beefed up the bill in this grand total? 1. Just replaced the ...

GameCube only progresses internal clock while powered on.

Greetings, I recently purchased a GameCube model DOL-001 due to wanting to get into a console that was released around my childhood as I only had a Game Boy Advance growing up. After getting it set up with some controllers, a GCHD Mk II and a AR + SD Adapter. I had my window into a gaming scene I mi...
