If you need it for plain Turbografx-16 only, then whichever stable version works for you would be fine.
Is there a tutorial online anywhere for how to install Retroarch for GCN? Right now I'm just using the original Action Replay with an SD card and the loader hack.

Re: Hu-Go! GX unofficial

What is the status of Hu-Go GX in 2020? Playable on Gamecube? Functional? Still being developed? EDIT: I have now tried this out for myself. Sorry guys for anybody who worked on this, but I was not impressed. It's nowhere near up to the standard of emulators like SNES 9x Rx, etc. Not really useable ...

You might see improvements in Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 1 emulation. Those are still areas of interest.
Yeah, I tried the Wii SX emulator and it was unplayable. Framerate was a slideshow and it seemed to crash alot.

For the specific case of the GCN, we are very lucky that emulation/homebrew scene is still very active.
Yes, I'm glad it is, and that was the nature of my question to begin with. What kind of things are people actually working on these days? Anything to do with emulation, or what?

Re: Any news on getting new emulators on GCN?

I would think you'd be much more likely to know than I would! But it seems odd that a machine that can run Mario Sunshine would not be able to run one of those. But in any case I was just curious about the future of GCN homebrew emulation.

Any news on getting new emulators on GCN?

I'm curious to know if new emulators are planned to be ported onto the GCN via homebrew software. SNES9x is a great emulator, but what about some of the higher-accuracy, cycle perfect ones, for example? Any plans to see any of those on GCN?

Re: Emulators for Gamecube 240p

I've got Snes9x GX installed and the video options do not include 240p. How do I set it to that mode? Much appreciated! (Same question for FCE Ultra GX). Please note this is not on a Wii. It's on a Gamecube.
EDIT: Oh, I found it. It's "rendering".

Emulators for Gamecube 240p

I have got homebrew running on my Gamecube, but I've found that the emulators available run in 480i only. And for some reason SWISS doesn't even give the option to force them into 240p. Anybody run into this? Any solutions for getting emulators working in 240p?

Re: SDLoad (Slot A and B)

I want to use the SDLoad exploit but my Windows 10 machine won't successfully run SDpatch.exe. Anybody know how to help?

Re: Game Boy Interface

Because it doesn't natively support SD cards. You need to use an exploit. Follow these instructions (SDload can be replaced with Swiss), or find the later version with SD Media Launcher functionality. This brings me to my problem. When I try to follow these instructions, I run into an issue. When I...

Re: SD Media Launcher Issues

SDLOADER.BIN and sdpatch are for the old Action Replay exploit. Yes, this is EXACTLY what I am trying to do. I have an old Action Replay disk (not the SD loader), and I want to run SD's with it. I am trying to use SDPatch.exe but I get "Obtaining low-level access to drive...Failed. Could not c...

Re: Game Boy Interface

I'm using Action Replay MAX on my early-model GameCube and all I can get is the error message "Please Insert Action Replay Hardware into Slot B". It doesn't read anything from my SD card adapter.

Re: Getting SDLoad to work

If you don't want to install an advanced formatting tool, maybe you can try formatting it with an old Digital camera? Do I not need to run SDPatch.exe for the specific SD card I want to use, in order to get it to work with Action Replay? I have formatted my SD using command prompt into FAT with 32K...

Re: Getting SDLoad to work

It's 2019 (going on 2020) and I have no access to a windows XP machine. In fact all I have is Windows 10. I have purchased the proper SD card and GC adapter, but now what? This rabbit hole is a lot deeper than I thought. (Oh yeah, I have ActionReplay MAX also). I just need to know how I can get SD l...
