Re: Format when using GC-loader (FAT32 or exFAT)

If you ask me, HFS+ may have been better… Don't know much about GCLoader at boot, but SWISS is just nice with FAT32, and I personally need my cards not to be in ExFAT format (for compatibility on the computer side). thanks :) It was written in the received GC-loader that exFAT is also pos...

64K should do too. For the 4GB file size limit, you just don't care as GCs disk images can't be bigger than 1,4GB. ;)
Is 64KB recommended for the allocation unit size?
Which is better, FAT32 or exFAT?

Format when using GC-loader (FAT32 or exFAT)

I would like to use a 256GB microSD card. When using GC-loader, I think it is possible to use either FAT32 or exFAT, but which should I do? I feel that FAT32 is more compatible, but it also has a weakness that it cannot store files larger than 4GB. Also, is 32KB the most compatible allocation unit s...

Re: My GameCube clock seems to stop when I unplug the power cable.

This is the battery beginning to fade out. ;) It is not exactly stopping when you unplug the power cable, but a little while after you turn the console off (can be a couple hours or more). If you change for a new one, your console will behave just like it should, but if you don't, the console setti...

My GameCube clock seems to stop when I unplug the power cable.

My GameCube clock seems to stop when I unplug the power cable.

Is this because the built-in battery is dead?

If I replace the batteries myself, will the watch continue to run even if I unplug the power cable?

thank you.

Either use the exit to menu option (last on bottom right), or enable boot through IPL, boot a game, and hold the A button.
Thank you :)

How to display the GameCube menu when starting Swiss with GC-loader?

When starting Swiss with GC-loader, does it move to the Swiss screen immediately after the GameCube logo is displayed? If so, how can I display the GameCube menu screen, which allows you to set the system such as the clock? This is the screen when the GameCube that has not been modified is started w...

Re: How to fix the problem of the OPEN button?

The main problem is the design, just cleaning should get it working for a while, if you don't mind the button not getting back to its flush position. If the surfaces wore too much, maybe a fiberglass and silicone high temperature adhesive tape could do the job if you can make sure the glue won't le...

Re: How to fix the problem of the OPEN button?

There shouldn't be a need to sand the open button unless it has been seriously abused. A cleaning with just about anything will work. I had some problems with my open button when I bought a used one. If you look at it you will see a screw that holds it in place. If that is tightened too much it can...

There was the WASP/Wiikey Fusion and WODE before it, but good luck finding those and an adapter for them.
Thanks.
As of now, getting it seems like a miracle.

Re: How to fix the problem of the OPEN button?

Yes, disassemble it and give each of the buttons a good clean once they've been popped out from the shell. Sometimes I also give the buttons a small sanding with super fine (600 grit) paper on the parts that are in contact with the case to allow them to move more freely. Thank you. I would like to ...

You can use a IPL replacement modchip or an optical drive emulator.
Is there an ODE other than GCLoader?
Is it only GCLoader right now?

I have no soldering experience and the Xeno installation will probably fail.

Re: About starting the game ISO with GCLoader

Well... this is whole idea of GCLoader to store your ISOs. Only this way you are able to achieve fastest read speeds and compatibility. If you have GCLoader just put Swiss and ISOs on it. You only need SD2SP2/SD Gecko for storing Swiss configuration. Thank you. I understand. I decide to store Swiss...

About starting the game ISO with GCLoader

I think that the SD card will be inserted directly into the GC Loader, Is it possible to place the game ISO there as well? If possible, is it lighter than placing it on SD2SP2? The GC-Forever Wiki had the following speedometer. Datel SD Media Launcher 16MHz Datel Micro SD Media Launcher 16MHz Ninten...

How to fix the problem of the OPEN button?

I bought a GameCube second hand, but I have a problem. When I press the open button, it stays sunk and hard to return, leaving the lid open. Also, the lid opens very slowly and is not smooth. I think the buttons and lids need to be disassembled and cleaned, can that fix it? Or is there any other way...

Re: copy GameCube save data to SD card ?

Some saves copied by swiss I could not use in Dolphin. And I think I tried to use on GameCube and it didn't work. This never happened with GCMM. Perhaps you should take this into consideration to avoid surprises in the future. Does GCMM provide a safer backup? Does that mean that if I back up with ...

Re: copy GameCube save data to SD card ?

Swiss has this feature built in :) Just enable File Manager in Settings and navigate to your SD card. There would be *.gci files that you can copy over to an SD Card via SDGecko/SD2SP2 adapter. I believe once GCLoader write functionality is figured out it will be also possible to copy onto it. Okay...

Yes you can use Swiss to backup your save data from memory card to SD.
Is that backup possible only with the Swiss function?
Or do you run other apps from Swiss? (For example, GCMM)
