Reboot only works with specific hardware setups (FlippyDrive, GC Loader, KunaiGC, Qoob Pro/SX), while apploader is compatible with all, as long as a patch device is available.

It flattens a directory tree into a single directory. The default value is to fix the stupid of Nintendont's directory structure if you're coming from that.
OK, so this is mostly something that affects Wii and Wii U users then?
No impact to me if I am using a GC Loader, correct?
Not sure if this is possible or not. I have been having problems with the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron games when the optimize display for RetroTink 4K option is enabled in Swiss. This is especially apparent in Rogue Squadron II where the display goes haywire. I bet this has something to do with these ...
One tedious workaround is after you have all the VMCs created in MemCard Pro, you can just remove SD Gecko from slot B and insert your previous memory card, and then use the GameCube OS to copy the game saves
You can toggle between VMCs in the MemCard Pro using your PC or phone or tablet over WiFi
I wonder the probability of finding a good VMU clone for DreamCast. If they still make them... I don't think so. The only Dreamcast components I see on AliExpress these days are clone GDEMU and DCHDMI. AFAIK all clone VMUs of the past only replicate the memory card functionality and did not include...
I had no idea these clones could cause so much trouble. I've been using the same clone since 2008 and I've never had any problems. I only lost my saves because of the bug in Resident Evil 4 and playing the japanese versions that format the memory card. Maybe things were different when you got your ...
I've had two 16MB clone cards and unfortunately the saves get corrupted after 5-6 writes. To be fair, I experience the same thing with PS1 clone cards too.
I also lost a Baten Kaitos save in the virtual memory card in my SD2SP2.
The PS1 MemCard Pro has been indispensable for me since I got it early this year.
Looking forward to having this for the GameCube instead of risking my saves with shoddy Chinese clone memory cards or the virtual memory cards in SD2SP2.
Sure. Download this https://szs.wiimm.de/download/szs-v2.27a-r8529-cygwin64.zip install it, reboot pc (program README says you need to restart pc) and then open the .bat file in /bin (don´t bother with all the .exe files you see) and use this command wimgt ENCODE myimage.png -d myoutput.tpl -x TPL ...
Thank you for adding this wallpaper feature. At long last I was able to create a backdrop.tpl (720x480) file and it works fine. Here it is, if someone wants to try it by dropping the .tpl file into /swiss (it's a galaxy). Can point me to a tool to handle a conversion from JPEG or PNG to TPL? I have...
Since there's a line in GitHub stating "Load custom backdrop from /swiss/backdrop.tpl on default device", I am assuming it is to change the background image for Swiss?
I think it will be in the next release since Extrems also commented "Prepare for custom backdrops".
I saw v6.0r1290 was released last week, and one of the lines mentioned the old legacy IGR combo is restored.
Does this mean the new IGR combo of A+Z+Start is no longer valid?
This is definitely great!
There appears to be more Wavebird controllers out there than receivers, so having something like this will greatly help a lot of people!
