Re: UK GC modding service?

the best options are in order of playability/compatability: 1: WODE USB Hard Drive or SD functions. (would need an adapter building GC DVD>WODE Flat cable) 2: Wiikey SD (Needs adapter like WODE) 3: Swiss Homebrew launching, SD and IDE compatability are similar if not the same however and IDE-EXI mus...

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4 Gamecube Edition

that's indeed the .dat file you need. rename it and place it as gc.dat to the root of your device that you're dumping to. when I dump without gc.dat i get 100%rip but when It uses the gc.dat on root of SDHC in gecko the rip freezes at 99% but the iso seems to have completed fine.... Just have seen ...

I think it does not support SDHC only standard SD will work (<2gb)...
judging from the fact Datel's SD Media Launcher had the same limitation and its basically the same crap.
This topic doesn't belong in GC-Linux.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4 Gamecube Edition

I was just wondering how the .dat file works... Would I need to find a .dat file for each game or are all games listed in one handy file?... looking on the redump website I have found an archive " redump.org datfiles, cuesheets & gdis as of 2012-03-12.zip " and without the need to sign...

Edit: I'm re-working IDE-EXI stuff at the moment in Swiss so you should have a configurable port to use the bottom two slots too.
qoob also has 5v(red cable) which suggests to use a precarious solder point below a resistor.

Great!.. Swiss pwns!

Re: Possible to make a BBA Style IDE-EXI?

Yes there is a new xilinx file I'll have to release when things get tested and are supported in Swiss. Does the modem adapter not use the 5v/12v lines? :( would've been so ideal if it used them :) afaik the socket uses 12v and 3.3v (going from a quick look at the serial port pinout) what is the vol...

Great idea Jaecus :) Yeah I can add in support for that port if anyone out there has one ready to test. I will take the iron to my modem adapter as soon as I have some time at home, Ill be sure to post with pics when its wired. just had a quick look at the pinout. Shame it doesn't also include a 5v...

Re: Possible to make a BBA Style IDE-EXI?

hmm I have an idea..
I can make use of the old modem adapter, take it apart and use it as my IDE-EXI plug, and rewire my Memorycard IDE-EXI adapter to the old modem pins.

Might be the best possible use for the old GC modem adapters?

Re: Loading GameCube Games from HD. Best solution? *Noob*

Hey, I must say that I'm kind noob at Gamecube and since the entire US library of the Gamecube fits in a 2TB HD this may be a nice solution for an ultimate gamecube. I saw the GC IDE-EXI Adapter but as far as I understand it needs some software to run from the DVD drive. I'm looking for a dvd drive...

That would be quite handy freeing up slots a+b
Maybe you could add support for sd via BBA port whie your're at it?
If its just as simple as the exi wiring then I'll make an SD-BBA adapter and test it ;)

i used the 3.3v and gnd from gamecube's exi when programming
I would also suggest to turn off write protect, i think right click the chip in that program and it can be found somewhere... dont have it installed but I had to turn it off
