Re: Swiss Nightly Build
emu_kidid, I think it was just my TV. I hadn't played Tales before, and when I saw Noishe I thought he looked greener than the first time. Full disclosure: Running Tales from an original disk. I remain the only person still booting homebrew with PSOload lol. But it 960i certainly didn't play nice wi...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
Finally starting Tales of Symphonia, and realized that Namco didn't include 480p support in the game for some reason. Well, I've got my Component Cables for a reason, so I turn to Swiss for that high-res goodness (And also force Widescreen because "Why not?") Using Swiss r431, I see the op...

Re: Tales of Symphonia (GCN/AR/PAL/GERMAN)
Ralf, would you be willing to throw together a couple QoL enhancements in WiiRD for the NTSC version? Just stuff like the 16:9 Widescreen and battle Camera modifer (It really helps to not immediately focus on the P1's character when playing multiplayer).

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
I don't have any idea behind the technicalities of it, but Pokemon Box (NTSC-U) is still broken, and has been since v174 or so.
But my old copy of Swiss 0.1 (v62) was able to load it just fine.

Kathy, does vanilla Mario 64 run normally? Are you running it off an SD, external hard drive?

Re: Wavebird receiver DIY?
Speaking of which, has anyone figured why it seems so common for people to apparently intentionally get rid of their Wavebird adapters? Why are they so much harder to find than the controller proper? The fact that people can't keep them together makes me want to punch them. Also, then there's jerks ...

Re: Games with extra unlockable games
NamcoMuseum starts with a couple of games locked.
You can unlock the original Prince of Persia in The Sands of Time,
And I think the original Rampage is included in Total Destruction.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Smash guys play on a CRT as well lets not forget that. The first person to mass produce those boards... woah, if nothing else, you could sell one to every member of the competitive smash community. But would the smash community really be willing to accept a solution that adds approximately a dozen ...

Re: S-video help needed
Check the screen's specifications to see if it has S-video input. It isn't on very many new screens these days. You can always buy a converter box that changes an s-video signal to HDMI. Naturally, what you really want is Component video. Cables are expensive though, but a modder has just reverse-en...

Re: Devolution - Gamecube loader for Wii/Wii U updated to r2
When I get a Wii U around the time that Smash Bros. comes out, I think I look into it (that adapter). Actually, I'm trying to find one somewhere online now and am having some trouble in my search. Any ideas? Wii / Gamecube disks are so similar that I think you're on to something. And tueidj, correct...

Really? I thought it showed the mechanics worked since it was accepted and the ejected without breaking the thing. (Serious here, please explain)

Re: Devolution - Gamecube loader for Wii/Wii U updated to r2
Given that the Wii U's disk slot appears to have the same mini-dvd compatibility as the Wii ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txk_ltGAI1w ), is it within the realm of possibilities to allow games to run on the Wii U off of the original disk?

Only feature that I'd really want to see is GCN controller support when the USB adapter comes out with Smash Bros.

Re: F-Zero GX (GCN/AR/PAL)
So, with your most recent AX launcher, the game will create a save file on a GCN memory card that contains all information of the license for the arcade?
Does it also 'officially' unlock the AX characters and tracks on the main save when unlocked in AX>

Re: Geist (GCN/AR/PAL)
Just out of curiosity, did you see anything in the game's debug menus that reference the Broadband adapter? There's old articles out there that reference 8-player functionality in earlier builds like this one: http://cube.gamespy.com/gamecube/geist/640076p1.html Also, The Cutting Room Floor mentions...

No, its not region free. That's the reason the Europe and Japan versions are so cheap on Ebay. They don't work with American games.

Re: Collectible Figures on Pokemon Rumble U, Really?
Basically the figures are the only way to have monsters that can level-up. All others stay at the level you catch them at.

They've got a nice list of passwords for a fair amount of decent monsters.

There's actually only 24 figures. 2 were some kind of pre-order bonus, and 1 is a Japanese promotional.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you seen a copy of Cubivore recently? That's an uncommon game I've been keeping my eye out for for years.
