Hello there
Well my mega cube died. I’ve been playing that awesome little cube for like 6 years nonstop. I need to re-up on GameCube mods. Build a new cube. Just wanted to say hello.

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
Updated my WKF to r268. Loaded into WKF menu and than switched over to the gecko for the fzn file. Updated easy as can be. All good. Thanks! The game logo pictures are wonderful. It reads and shows the space info for the WKF sd card just fine. I NOW have all full clean iso files made from my game di...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
Game logos on the game selection menu! Right.... nightly builds. OK. Time to update my WKF. Yeah, how do I do that again? Originally, I loaded the swiss flasher dol and swapped an SD card real fast and loaded the fzn from a gecko. .... or something like that, mega has a video on that. But I don't ne...

Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = really slow loading
The "over fill" threshold seems to be around 20gb when it starts to have problems. Hmm.. so thats not normal huh? Well damn. Some isos are full and some are shrunk. I do get the fragmented warning in swiss sometimes when the card is full, even if I havn't deleted anything. I'll go to using...

Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = really slow loading
My 32GB SD card will crash and freeze up when starting a game sometimes if I "over fill" it. I can load one iso at a time and everything is fine untill the card is mostly full of games. Than it will crash on games that loaded OK before hand. I can delete the last loaded game and its normal...

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Turned the WKF back on but I didn't 'update' to 1.5 firmware. All is working fine. However.... it always 'autoloads' the last game played unless I hit the wii's eject button and than power cycle the wii. Autoloading the last game played is nice but its a pain to change to a different game. Is this b...

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
So... if I take a WKF out of a gamecube and install it into a wii, it will work just fine. But the WKF is on 1.3 with swiss as the loader, so..... swiss will work fine. I won't need the WBFS loader program but the FAT formatted SD card won't take/load wii games. No problem. But.... the 1.3 firmware ...

Number 2. Pikmin 3 is a fun game. All the pikmin games are great. My opinion..... don't worry about the digital copies, go for Pikmin!

Re: Collectible Figures on Pokemon Rumble U, Really?
Well that sounds a little better.... and cheaper than I thought it would be. It says you can use "noncontact smart cards, such as transit passes, and ID's" to make 'helper pokemon' in game. Much in the same way swapping random CDs would make different monsters in Monster Rancher 2 on the p...

Collectible Figures on Pokemon Rumble U, Really?
Just in case anyone else missed it, like I did. Pokemon Rumble U takes collectible plastic figures via a near field comm chip to unlock pokemon in the game. Yeah, just like Skylanders and Disney Infinity. The 'portal' is built into the wiiU gamepad. That weird little picture on the bottom left of th...

Are the pads for the 'Lid' bridged together? (in the v5 install video)
and does that give function to the original lid switch on a cube?

Re: Mega3 has a funny behavior
Could it be the switch? Not flipping all the way into each mode maybe. I thought the switch was for changing between VGA and component mode, but it seems to do nothing on my MEGA3. I'll get around to testing a different switch on it.... just wondering if you thought the switch could be causing your ...

O' I see. The little chip says GC2-D2B. So that makes it a D2B drive. I see. I was looking at the big chip with the GC2-D1 (no A) number. Got it! Thanks!

Re: GC backups with WKF
The WKF can be used on a wii with a USB loader no problem. Without priiloader, you would just choose the disc channel for the WKF or the USB loader channel for the USB loader....... so with priiloader, I would think you could just select disc channel within wiiflow. WKF doesn't overwrite sysmenu. Do...

Re: Wii drives all interchangeable?
Yep, worked great. Thanks!
I did notice that wiidrives .com said my wii had 100% chance of having a D2B drive (based off serial number), but it actually had a D1 drive in it. I'm guessing the D1 is some old launch drive. It probably won't read dual layer disc or something irritating now.

Wii drives all interchangeable?
The more I search online to answer my question, the more mixed information I find. Will any wii drive work on any other wii as a replacement? More to the point..... Can I swap whole drives between a D3-2 / D4 unit and a D2B unit? (I want the D2B in the wiikey fusion wii and still have a working driv...

Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
Alright, the v5 and v6 are 'quick solder' for portables. How difficult would you say the install is for the v5 or v6 boards? I know the answer is relative for each person as everyone has different soldering skills and experience... compared to the install process of the first released MEGAdrive........

Re: Flash Drive storage on the wiiU no good?
The wii shop channel has a notice that says 'some' services will be gone soon. Anything labeled with a 'blue' network icon like leaderboards, but 'red' icon services will stay for now. Red is a paid service. Not sure what that really is. I really just wanted to unhook the wii, in favor of the new wi...
